Resolution No. 09 s. 2025–2026

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CONDUCT OF A SPECIAL ELECTION FOR UNFILLED ELECTIVE POSITIONS OF THE LETRAN LEGAL MANAGEMENT SOCIETY

Following the conclusion of the filing period for the LLMS Regular eLEXion for Academic Year 2026–2027, and upon determination by the Electoral Committee that no Certificates of Candidacy were filed for several elective positions, the Letran Legal Management Society hereby authorizes the conduct of a Special Election pursuant to Article V, Sections 9 and 10 of the Constitution and By-Laws.

This measure seeks to ensure the continuity of organizational leadership, governance, and representation through the filling of vacant elective offices and the conduct of a fair, transparent, and democratic electoral process.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Midyear Enrollment is scheduled on June 8–9, 2026, while Midyear Classes will begin on June 15, 2026.

Enrollment for the First Semester of Academic Year 2026–2027 for Continuing Collegiate Students (2nd to 4th Year) will be from June 15 to July 17, 2026, while opening of classes will be on July 20, 2026.

For students who are enrolled during the Midyear Term, kindly be advised to visit their respective Department or Dean’s Office regarding matters pertinent to their enrollment.

"Utmost good faith."

The legal doctrine emphasizes the principle of utmost good faith in contractual relationships, particularly in insurance law. It requires both parties, especially the insured, to fully and honestly disclose all material facts that could influence the other party’s decision to enter into the contract.

This principle is essential in ensuring fairness and transparency in insurance agreements. Insurance companies rely heavily on the information provided by the insured. Failure to disclose relevant fact, whether intentional or not, can render the contract voidable. Thus, uberrimae fidei strengthens trust and integrity in contractual dealings by obligating full disclosure. However, courts may assess whether the undisclosed fact was truly material to the risk assumed. If the information would not have influenced the insurer’s decision, the contract may still be upheld.
