Day 1 of our Seminar-Workshop on Standardizing Test Questions was an engaging and insightful journey towards effective assessment practices! We were honored to have Dr. Luis Luigi Valencia and Dr. Nancy D. Abunda as our distinguished speakers.

Dr. Valencia kicked off the day with an in-depth session on 'The Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy,' guiding participants through the importance of aligning test questions with various levels of cognitive skills. He also provided valuable strategies for 'Constructing Test Questions under the Revised Bloom’s Taxonomy,' emphasizing how to create questions that assess not just recall, but also critical thinking, analysis, and application.

Dr. Abunda’s session on 'The Table of Specifications' followed, where she introduced the essential tool for ensuring that test items are aligned with course objectives. She shared practical insights on how to create balanced and reliable tests that reflect both content coverage and cognitive demands. Through her expertise, participants gained a clear understanding of how to develop assessments that are fair, accurate, and comprehensive.

With lively discussions, hands-on activities, and thoughtful exchanges, Day 1 provided us with invaluable tools to enhance our approach to test question standardization. We’re excited to continue this learning journey and implement these strategies into our practice. Looking forward to the rest of the seminar.
