I'll be honest — there were nights I questioned everything.
Was I being a good enough mom? A good enough leader? A good enough version of myself?
Then I stopped trying to do it all harder and started doing it all differently.
These are the 5 hacks I wish someone had handed me on Day 1. Four years of real life. Two kids. Two companies. One MBA. And lessons I'll carry forever.
Read it and tell me which one hits home. 👇

SUSTAINABLE PARENTING
Some of the best parenting advice I’ve learned through the years:
1. Teach your kids to eat real and healthy food. A healthy gut supports a healthy brain, and nutrition greatly affects mood, focus, and overall well-being. Also teach them the importance of sleep, rest, exercise, hard work, and taking care of their mental health. Health truly is wealth.
2. Teach them the value of money, saving, and investing early. Avoid paying them for household chores because chores are life skills and responsibilities we all need to do whether we are paid or not.
3. Practice builds confidence, but growth also happens when skills are tested in the real world. Encourage them to compete in sports, join recitals, perform, and experience both success and failure.
4. Help them develop self-awareness consistently through journaling & other ways so they can understand themselves better, build confidence, and develop genuine self-love.
5. Teach boundaries, safety, and self-protection. They should know how to protect themselves physically, emotionally, and mentally during difficult or dangerous situations.
6. Teach them faith, prayer, and the importance of knowing truth and applying good principles in life. Help them understand that there is a God & a higher purpose beyond themselves.
7. Make education and continuous learning enjoyable. Awards are only the bonus. We do not study just for recognition; we study to understand principles and apply them meaningfully in real life.
8. Teach them to choose friends wisely. If people constantly encourage them to do wrong things, they are not the right influences.
9. Establish family core values, a mission, vision, motto, and affirmations. Even when differences arise in the future, shared values can help keep the family grounded and united.
10. Teach accountability, emotional resilience, and emotional intelligence. We must learn not to blame others for our failures. Self-regulation and effective communication are important life skills.
11. Teach courage, respect, and kindness. We should stop when someone says stop, avoid shouting or hurting others, and respect each other’s personal space and boundaries.

Hello, May 🌸
Welcome to the month of spring—where everything blooms, grows, and comes alive again… and for Journyles, this month is all about motherhood. 🤍
Just like spring, I can’t help but look back on some of my most blooming days—those maternity moments I will forever hold close to my heart.
My little Zayn with our baseball-themed shoot ⚾… and my sweet Zephrine in her soft, flower-filled world 🌷
Those were the days I felt life growing in the most beautiful way.
Sometimes I catch myself thinking… maybe baby number 3? Haha! 🤭
But truly, motherhood has been one of the most meaningful journeys of my life—filled with love, learning, and becoming.
This May, I’m excited to share some of the best motherhood tips I’ve gathered through the years—lessons from my own experience and from incredible moms I deeply admire.
Here’s to embracing the beauty, the chaos, the growth, and the quiet strength that comes with being a mom.
Cheers to this beautiful journey. 🌸

Service is my love language. It’s how I give love—and the very thing that recharges my happiness. There’s a quiet joy in serving, a kind of magic I first discovered when I worked at Disneyland. Because the real magic was never just in the place—it was in the love, the service, and the simple act of doing something for others.
As we close our April theme of happiness, I want to end it with these moments of service… moments that brought pure joy.
When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming rich so I could help everyone. Now that I’m older, I’ve learned something deeper—there is wisdom in service. You cannot give what you do not have. And when we serve, we must serve with sustainability in mind. It’s not just about giving—it’s about empowering. There’s a beautiful harmony between the two. And in that space, I’ve found that service truly makes me happy.
I always remind my kids: service starts at home.
We serve our family first—always.
Then our classmates and coworkers.
Then our church and neighbors.
And finally, our community.
Service can take so many forms, which is why it’s important to keep growing—our talents, our minds, and our hearts—so we can touch more lives in meaningful ways.
Here are some simple but beautiful moments of service lately:
✨ Family dinner for Sister Santiago. My niece receiving her mission call.
✨ Teaching Zumba to the primary children at Bulaon 2nd Branch. Let’s be healthy kids!
✨ PABIGASKEKAABE. Giving rice and food packs to jeepney drivers in Villa Pampanga Transport Cooperative.
✨ Raising funds for community building through the One Big Run 3.0.
Grateful for God’s trust—to be instruments of His love and to bring joy into the lives of others.
And that, to me, is happiness. 💙

JOY OF FRIENDSHIPS
Cheering up Mommy Q and simply soaking in the joy of being together over a lovely dinner at home. 🤍
Happiness in friendship is truly a gift. I always remind my daughter that who we choose to walk with in life matters—because our associations shape our hearts.
Friendships built on trust, empowerment, and beautiful mindsets become the kind that last… even beyond this lifetime.
Ours began through Mommy & Daddy Q, and we will always be grateful for their guidance, inspiration, and love that brought us all together.
Praying that we continue to be led to friendships that bless us deeply and fill our lives with peace .🤍

Good night mga Ka-Tesla—ay, oops… mga Ka-ebike! ⚡🚲
This week, my mom randomly called me on Messenger while she was at the Provo Utah Temple… or maybe the Reno Nevada Temple (classic Mom 😄). She was so excited introducing me to members who once served their missions here in the Philippines.
My mom has always been like that—random, joyful, full of life. And honestly, she’s my living example of the kind of happiness we can all become.
It reminded me of something she invited me to years ago—an Ikigai Happiness Club Zoom meeting back when I was in my late 20s. I almost didn’t join… but I did. And I’ll never forget it.
I entered that space and realized I was the youngest—everyone else was in their 60s. But what a blessing it was to listen to them. Their stories, their reflections… their deep, quiet understanding of happiness. The kind you don’t rush, but grow into.
The facilitator even shared a simple questionnaire to reflect on our own happiness. And now, years later, I feel like this is the perfect time to revisit that—especially with our April theme: happiness.
I hope and pray that one day, in our golden years, we’ll carry that same peace… that same love… that same quiet joy they had. ✨
Because maybe happiness isn’t something we chase—
maybe it’s something we become. 💛
