The UPLB Commencement Exercises mark the hopeful culmination of dreams realized through honor, excellence, and service. More than a season of recognition and achievement, graduation is a testament to the countless hours of hard work, patience, sacrifice, and conviction that have shaped every Iskolar ng Bayan’s journey.

As you prepare to celebrate this milestone, we hope to make your graduation experience more sustainable, accessible, and meaningful. We invite graduating students who need academic regalia to reserve a sablay and graduation attire through this initiative.

To ensure that limited resources reach those who need them most, we kindly encourage everyone to reserve only if access to graduation attire would otherwise be a barrier to participating in the commencement exercises. Priority will be given to graduating students who may not be able to join the ceremonies without this support.

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (OVCSA), through its Committee on External Linkages, organized an opening program to welcome student interns from the UPLB Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) today, 10 June 2026, at the UPLB Graduate School (GS) Dormitory.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Janette H. Malata-Silva delivered the opening remarks for the activity, followed by an inspirational message from Committee on External Linkages Chair Alona C. Linatoc and an overview of the internship program by Co-Chair Ariel L. Babierra.

Consequently, INSTAT faculty-in-charge Asst. Prof. Maurice C. Borromeo introduced the student interns, namely Chiara Marie Reveche, Kyle Shanelle Sebastian, Denise Lauren Ortiz, Zhenyll Morales, and Angela Mae Angeles. They were joined by INSTAT Instructor and co-faculty-in-charge Ian Carlo L. Naguit.

The OVCSA Internship Guidelines were also discussed by Committee on External Linkages Member Ariane Joyce H. Siena, followed by the closing remarks of Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Marcelina C. Miranda as a concluding note of the opening program.

Also in attendance at the OVCSA Internship Opening Program were supervisors and other members of the External Linkages Committee.

UPLB will be accepting applicants under the Iskolar ng Bayan (INB) Program. Applicants must submit their duly accomplished INB applications through https://diwa.up.edu.ph/.
