The primary advocacy of Tsek.ph is to fact-check misinformation and disinformation about elections. The collaborative project was developed as an aid to Filipinos in verifying political claims and social media posts, ensuring an informed electorate when it comes to decision-making during the election period.

The main advocacy of PPCRV is to encourage young Filipinos voters to become more involved as voters, and to make intelligent decisions when selecting leaders. Through voter education campaigns, monitoring of elections, and programs aimed at engaging youth, PPCRV has developed a variety of methods for promoting responsible and informed voting.

ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴠᴏᴛᴇ ɪꜱ ɴᴏᴛ ᴊᴜꜱᴛ ᴀ ʀɪɢʜᴛ, it's your voice, your duty and your power to determine how the Philippines will be ruled. As young Filipinos we can't remain spectators while decisions are putatively being made that will affect our schooling, opportunities, communities, and future. Every vote is a chance to fight for a clean government, transparency and legitimate change. In a global environment where information spreads like wildfire and not everything in the internet is true, responsible voting starts with critical thinking, fact checking and data-driven decisions. In choosing truth over fake news and informed preference over public opinion, we show our active role in creating a stronger and more democratic Philippines.👥

The youth of the Philippines are given power to change. The youth represents 𝟔𝟑% of total voters making it one of the biggest voting blocs in the Philippines therefore with the capacity to affect the future of Philippine democracy and the quality of leadership that will mold the country for years to come. This power comes with the responsibility to be well-informed, think critically, and play an active role in the electoral process. 𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐅𝐘 is here to encourage the behaviour of the young voter in trusting less of the popular or online trend and of seeking information for themselves from credible sources to support their facts and values-based resolution making. And so, when the youth learned to vote wisely and chose to choose just right, we are not in the 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫-𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 (hope) but the actual cause for change.✨

🎯𝐓𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: This advocacy targets the Filipino youth aged 18–24, especially students, first-time voters, and school organizations that influence youth participation.

🥅𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥: To encourage the Filipino youth to be informed, responsible, active voters, and rational human beings who would think critically, verify information, and make wise decisions that would contribute to positive change and democratic progress in the Philippines.✍️🗳️

🗺️𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: To equip Filipino youth with sufficient knowledge and skills necessary to become responsible voters, by promoting critical thinking, fact-checking, civic participation, and media literacy, building a more democratic, accountable society where every vote counts.🧑‍💻

👀𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: A generation of Filipino youth who are empowered, educated, and socially responsible citizens of our democracy, in order to mold an even more democratic nation. As a result of their social responsibility and being a wise voter, they will act as agents of change in society.

𝙃𝙄𝙉𝘿𝙄 𝙇𝘼𝙃𝘼𝙏 𝙉𝙂 𝙑𝙄𝙍𝘼𝙇, 𝙏𝙊𝙏𝙊𝙊—𝐁𝐔𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐎 𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐎!🧠🗳️

The focus of the advocacy will be on building 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 about 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙫𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 and 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 relating to making informed and responsible choices when voting, as well as having the skills to do so in an environment where there is a lot of misinformation and media coverage now exists due to the increased use of social media. This issue is particularly relevant to 𝐆𝐄𝐍 𝐙 (first-time voters) in the Philippines and others who are young adults; as such, the young population in this country represents a significant portion of the overall electorate. Thus, the goal of this advocacy needs to be communicated through discussion as to why young voters are continuing to increase their ability as a group to affect election results; at the same time, young voters continue to be one of the largest groups affected by misleading political content that is available via social media. Based upon data from the Commission on Elections, there were approximately 68.4 𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒓𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒗𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 in the Philippines during the 2025 election for the midterm election, with Gen Z and Millennials making up approximately 60.5% of registered voters, making them one of the largest groups of voters in the Philippines. Furthermore, individuals are highly concerned about the spread of misinformation through social media in the Philippines; similarly, Facebook and TikTok were highlighted as two of the leading platforms for the dissemination of misinformation. Young Filipinos need to be prepared to not just vote but also think critically about the information they are using to make political choices now, before they become the 𝐅𝐔𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒 and decision-makers of the 𝓟𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓲𝓹𝓹𝓲𝓷𝓮𝓼.

The purpose of this campaign is to empower young voters with the information and courage to take part in shaping decisions that affect our communities and our future. A vote is not a mere decision, it is a commitment, an act, and a step to bring about an actual shift in the society.

With all the current issues and problems in our country’s leadership and governance, it is even more crucial to ensure that we remain well informed and engaged.
