Amara Zoe Lagdameo (YS11-HSP), a proud YS11 completer of UST Angelicum College this May 15, 2026, has brought honor and pride to the Thomasian Angelican community with her remarkable achievements in international gymnastics. Through relentless dedication and discipline, Zoe has proven that Thomasian Angelicans can excel both in academics and athletics. Her journey is a living testament to the flexibility and focus offered by the Home Study Program, empowering student‑athletes to thrive in both worlds.

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 2026, 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐙𝐨𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐨 (𝐘𝐒11- 𝐇𝐒𝐏) 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐠𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 9 𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬. Her journey began in January at the Winter Classic in Salt Lake City, Utah , where she placed 4th in the Individual All Around. She followed this with a strong performance at the Charity Choice Cup in Tacoma, Washington in February, earning 3rd Place in Floor Exercise. In March, Zoe continued her winning streak at the Momentum Invite in American Fork, Utah (March 6-7), securing 3rd Place in the Individual All Around.

Later that month, at the Utah State Meet in Salt Lake City (March 19-21), she achieved 3rd Place in Floor Exercise, 5th Place in Vault, and 7th Place in the Individual All Around, qualifying for Regionals. Her biggest triumph came in April at the Regionals in Las Vegas, Nevada , where she won 2nd Place in Floor Exercise, 2nd Place in Balance Beam, and 3rd Place in the Individual All Around, earning her qualification for the Westerns.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤‑𝐭𝐨‑𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐙𝐨𝐞’𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦. Despite the demands of back‑to‑back training and competitions, Zoe continues to excel academically, completing all required tasks with consistency and excellence. Leanna Faith Briones (HSP‑YS6), a proud learner of the Home Study Program, continues to prove that Thomasian Angelicans can shine on the international stage.

On April 5, 2026, she competed in the 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐝 (𝐇𝐊𝐈𝐂𝐎) 2026 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 – 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧, earning a 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 5. With this victory, Leanna 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐊𝐈𝐂𝐎 2026 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝, set for June 19-21, 2026 in Singapore or online.

Earlier, on March 15, 2026, she also joined the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐮𝐦 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐎𝐥𝐲𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐝 (𝐈𝐄𝐒𝐎) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 – 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧, where she secured a 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 5. She will proudly represent UST Angelicum at the 𝐈𝐄𝐒𝐎 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬, scheduled for September 4-6, 2026 at Hilton Sun Valley Hotel, Clark, Pampanga, Philippines.

Her achievements are not only a testament to her skills but also a living example of the Thomasian Angelican core value of fortitude. In facing complex computational and scientific challenges, Leanna demonstrated perseverance, resilience, and courage which are qualities that empower Thomasian Angelicans to overcome difficulties, persist in problem solving, and achieve success on the international stage. Leanna’s journey shows that the Home Study Program at UST Angelicum College empowers learners to balance flexibility with excellence, preparing them to compete globally while thriving locally.

With the theme: “𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩: 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧”, this event proves that even Home Study Program learners are given opportunities to 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬.
