𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟯 | 𝗜𝗖-𝗚𝗥𝗮𝗧𝗘 𝘅 𝗜𝗚𝗧𝗘𝗦

Day 3 of IC-GRaTE 2025 and the 3rd IGTES continues with a rich lineup of insightful and collaborative sessions that further strengthen the conference’s commitment to advancing graduate teacher education and research culture.

The morning opens with a comprehensive recap delivered by Mr. Alexis C. Pradillada, event convener and faculty member of Saint Pedro Poveda College, followed by selected participants who share meaningful reflections and key takeaways from Day 1.

One of the day’s major highlights is the third panel discussion, centered on the theme “Graduate Teacher Education Research: Conditions and Ways Forward.” Esteemed scholars—Dr. Lorna M. Miña of Bicol University, Dr. John Erwin P. Pedroso of West Visayas State University, and Dr. Jacqueline Espina of Leyte Normal University—offer valuable perspectives on the current state of graduate teacher education research and the strategies needed to propel it forward. Moderated by John Kenneth C. Goyal of the Graduate Student Council, Philippine Normal University, the session sparks dynamic dialogue and meaningful engagement during the open forum.

As the program moves forward, the conference shifts into activities that emphasize collaboration and leadership. Dr. Mary Alvior, Co-Chair of IGTES and I-CRATE 2025 from Palawan State University, leads the Synthesis and Declaration of Commitment, reinforcing shared goals and collective aspirations. This is followed by the 3NS Graduate Student Organization Elections, where representatives for the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee are selected.

This portion of the program also features the Presentation of Conference Resolutions and Future Collaboration Pathways, outlining unified directions, strengthened institutional partnerships, and strategic commitments that will guide future initiatives in the graduate education community.

The day concludes with Acknowledgments, Awardings, and Messages of Thanks, honoring contributors, partners, and participants whose support made the conference both meaningful and impactful.

Overall, Day 3 stands out as a thoughtful convergence of reflection, scholarly insight, and forward-looking collaboration—fueling collective efforts toward a stronger and more innovative teacher education landscape.

The third panel discussion of the International Conference on Graduate Research in Teacher Education (IC-GRaTE 2025) and the 3rd International Graduate Teacher Education Summit (IGTES) is now underway, focusing on the theme “Graduate Teacher Education Research: Conditions and Ways Forward.”

In this session, a distinguished panel of scholars is sharing valuable insights on the current landscape of graduate teacher education research and the strategies needed to move the field forward. The panel is composed of Dr. Lorna M. Miña, Dean of the College of Education at Bicol University; Dr. John Erwin P. Pedroso, Associate Dean of the College of Education at West Visayas State University; and Dr. Jacqueline Espina, Associate Dean of Graduate Education at Leyte Normal University.

The discussion is moderated by John Kenneth C. Goyal of the Graduate Student Council, Philippine Normal University. Participants are actively engaging in the Q&A/Open Forum, contributing to a lively and thought-provoking exchange of ideas.

The second day of the International Conference on Graduate Research in Teacher Education (IC-GRaTE 2025) and the 3rd International Graduate Teacher Education Summit (IGTES) commenced with engaging sessions both onsite at Palawan State University and online via Zoom.

The day began with a summary of Day 1, presented by Mr. Michael Kevin Garcia, President of the Graduate Student Council of the Philippine Normal University, along with key reflections shared by selected participants. Mr. Garcia also introduced the resource speakers for the day, setting the stage for a series of dynamic discussions. Dr. Allen Espinosa, Full Professor at the Philippine Normal University started the day with his as plenary speaker.

The second panel discussion, titled “Shaping Graduate Research Culture Through Empirical Research and Publications,” featured Dr. Marie Paz E. Morales, University Professor at the Philippine Normal University and Dr. Marjorie A. Española, Vice President for Research Development and Extension at Palawan State University. The panelists explored equitable knowledge systems and research ethics, engaging participants in meaningful dialogue on strengthening research culture and upholding ethical practices in graduate teacher education.

Onsite mentoring sessions focused on various Research Designs, with breakout groups for Qualitative Designs and Quantitative Design sessions. While Online mentoring sessions via Zoom included breakout sessions on
The online breakout sessions for Proposal Paper Presentations highlighted undergraduate students presenting their research proposals on topics such as decolonizing research, local knowledge, and teacher agency. Similarly, graduate students and faculty members presented Full Papers, showcasing completed studies and analyses. All participants were recognized through the awarding of certificates for their contributions and research efforts.

Face-to-face breakout sessions at Palawan State University allowed undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty to present papers across various research topics.Certificates were awarded to acknowledge participants’ scholarly work and research achievements.

Day 2 successfully highlighted the collaborative spirit and scholarly engagement of participants, fostering dialogue, critical reflection, and knowledge sharing across institutions.

Simultaneously, the online mentoring sessions via Zoom extend this engagement to remote participants, maintaining an emphasis on diverse Research Designs.
