​Our campus was once again transformed into a vibrant display of advocacy as our learners participated in the 2nd Friday of the activity drive! 📸✨ It is truly inspiring to see our students moving beyond the classroom to show their "whole-of-society engagement" for gender equality and women’s empowerment.

​By wearing purple, these GADvocates are not just making a style statement—they are reclaiming the wisdom and moral guidance of our pre-colonial Babaylans and helping to challenge stereotypes in our school community.

​Ngayong National Women's Month, binibigyang-pugay natin ang ating kasaysayan. Did you know that before colonial times, women leaders called Babaylans held authority grounded in wisdom, empathy, and moral guidance?

​This 2026, the call is for Women and Everyone (WE) to take charge in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment (GEWE). It’s not just an annual event; it’s a clarion call for a whole-of-society engagement.

​Let us honor the modern-day Babaylans in our school—our dedicated teachers, hardworking staff, and empowered students! 👩‍🏫👩‍🎓

As our 18-𝘿𝙖𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙀𝙣𝙙 𝙑𝘼𝙒 officially concludes, we did not just end with a final post—we ended with 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩!

On December 12, 2025, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙈. 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙨 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 successfully conducted the 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙡 (𝙇𝘼𝘾) 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 entitled: “𝙊𝙉𝙀 𝘾𝘼𝙇𝙇: 𝙂𝙀𝙉𝘿𝙀𝙍 𝙎𝙀𝙉𝙎𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙄𝙏𝙔 𝙄𝙉 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙆𝙋𝙇𝘼𝘾𝙀: 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙜𝙣𝙞𝙯𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙄𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚.”

This mandatory training was attended by all teaching, teaching-related, and non-teaching personnel.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐋𝐀𝐂 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥: The Department of Education mandates that all personnel must be frontrunners in promoting gender sensitivity. This session aimed to:

➩𝙀𝙣𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 staff knowledge of Gender Sensitivity as a core behavioral competency.

➩𝘿𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 non-discriminatory teaching and inclusive learning.

➩𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚 Gender Sensitivity and Gender Responsiveness into all aspects of work.

➩𝙈𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙡 a gender-sensitive and responsive profession, for the benefit of our students.

A truly safe school begins with a truly safe workplace, free from harassment and discrimination. We envision 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐄𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐒 who actively eliminate gender bias.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫. Let's continue to be advocates for equality every single day.

As we approach the final day of our 18-Day Campaign to End VAW, let’s imagine the school environment we are creating together at 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗠. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗡𝗛𝗦:

A 𝗩𝗔𝗪-𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 is a place where:

✅𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 feels secure and respected, regardless of their gender or background.

✅ 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙛𝙛 model equality and practice non-violence in every interaction.

✅ 𝘽𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 are non-existent and swiftly addressed.

✅ 𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙨𝙚 is easy, confidential, and met with support and action.

This safe, empowering environment is the goal of 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏 𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙑𝘼𝙏𝙀 - 𝙂𝘼𝘿. It requires all of us, every single day. Let's make this vision our reality!

🗓️ DAY 16: The Commitment Does Not End on December 12th! 🗓️

The power of our 𝟭𝟴-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗔𝙒 is not just in the awareness we raised, but in the permanent change we commit to creating afterward.

The work of 𝙋𝙍𝙊𝙅𝙀𝘾𝙏 𝙀𝙇𝙀𝙑𝘼𝙏𝙀 - 𝙂𝘼𝘿 and the commitment of 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙈. 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙨 𝙉𝙃𝙎 to a VAW-Free environment is a year-round, daily effort.

Our challenge to every student, teacher, and employee is this:

𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗗𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁:

➡️𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝘿𝙖𝙮: Practice consent, respect, and gender-fair language.

➡️𝙍𝙚𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝘼𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨: Keep the lines of communication open and utilize the Guidance Office/GAD Focal Point System if you witness abuse.

➡️𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙊𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨: Be a champion for equality in your family and social circles.

We started this journey strong, and we will continue this commitment fiercely. Ending VAW requires vigilance, always!
