The Research Center is an establishment dedicated in doing productive and relevant researches. Goals:
1. All researchers will follow the same format.

It is an authority confined within Talisay City College endowed with skills and knowledge in doing basic researches in areas of Education, Industrial Technology, and Hospitality Management. Research findings resulting from quality and relevant researches will be utilized for instruction enhancement and human life improvement. TCC, founded on Character, Altruism, Responsibility, Excellence, and Stewardship envisions the provision of accessible quality education and responsible leadership in the attainment of global competitiveness and excellence through productive and relevant research programs. Mission
In the light of the College’s vision, we commit ourselves to produce globally competitive graduates imbued with the highest sense of Character, Altruism, Responsibility, Excellence, and Stewardship for the upliftment of the quality of human life. To undertake responsive programs and activities geared towards cultivating and sustaining a culture of research.
2. To produce quality and relevant researches in the advancement of useful knowledge and technology.
3. To utilize research findings for the enhancement of instruction and upliftment of the quality of human life.
4. To establish strong linkages through responsible researches with other research institutions. The Research Center Standards

Committed to maintaining research programs of the highest quality, research program standards are developed to ensure they remain at a uniformly high level. The most important of these written guides is our Standards for Research Programs, which contains policies, standards and guidelines to help ensure that our research programs are fairly and consistently conducted, to wit:

1. To avoid controversy, research involving animals will not be allowed.

3. If the research proposal involves biohazards or any material that may be unsafe to normal organisms upon uncontrolled exposure as in the case of Hospitality Management researches, the project must be approved first by the Research Center following the strict requirements before it is considered.

4. Before seeking consent or assent from respondents, the researcher should inform the respondents of all features of the research that may affect their compliance to participate and should answer the questions in terms appropriate to the respondents’ intellectual capacity.

5. The researcher should respect the respondents’ independence to choose to participate in the research or not by giving them the opportunity to give or not give assent to participation as well as to choose to discontinue participation at any time.

6. To gain access to institutional records, the researcher should obtain permission from responsible authorities in charge of records. Secrecy of the information should be preserved and no information used other than that for which permission was obtained.

7. The researcher should keep in confidence all information obtained about research respondents. The respondents' identity should be concealed in written and verbal reports of the results, as well as in informal discussion with students and colleagues.

8. The researcher also recognizes a duty to report general findings to respondents in terms appropriate to their understanding.

9. Researchers should be mindful of the social, political, and human implications of their research and should be especially careful in the presentation of findings and conclusion from the research.

10. All outputs should be made in three (3) copies. The first copy goes to the Research Center, another copy goes to the College Library, and the last copy is for the researcher to keep.

Since we are having this online modality, it is always expected to have technical glitch. Make sure to understand the module content and do what is needful. Always channel your questions through this page or send your message to [email protected], our official email.

If your name is not in the list of any research group, please be reminded that the grouping was based on the official masterlist provided by the courses in-charge. If you are in doubt or if you need to clarify something about the masterlist, you may direct your questions to the course in-charge.

By the way, in as much as Talisay City College wants to produce and distribute printed modules, we fall short of budget. Let us look at this situation in a perspective and be positive that we altogether do this with or without the printed module.

Let's keep our research journey lite, fun, and interactive and don't forget to sleep while you can.
