Doctors deserve protection,not just sympathy
It's not enough to arrest or kill the culprit after an attack. The real issue is that the doctor community is not safe in this country. Healthcare professionals dedicate their lives to saving others, yet they continue to face violence, threats, and insecurity while performing their duties.
There is an urgent need for separate laws to ensure the security and protection of doctors, along with their strict and practical implementation. A safe working environment for doctors is not a privilege—it's a necessity for a functional healthcare system.

A Call for Pay Raise for Doctors
Whenever the issue of doctors' salaries is raised, we are told that there is a financial crunch and that there are no funds available. However, this raises an important question: if hospitals can afford to pay HR officials and administrative staff salaries running into several lakhs per month, where do those funds come from? If resources exist for administrative expansion and non-clinical positions, why are there no funds available for doctors—the very professionals who keep the healthcare system running? Resident doctors, who form the backbone of patient care and often work exhausting hours, continue to receive salaries that are disproportionately low compared to their responsibilities and sacrifices.
It was announced in 2017 that doctors' salaries would be increased by 10% annually. Unfortunately, after nearly a decade, the cumulative increase granted in 2026 is only 15%. This falls far short of the commitment that was made and does not reflect the economic realities faced by healthcare professionals today.
The situation has become even more concerning with the abolition of commission-based jobs for doctors. At the same time, salaries and benefits for politicians and many other government employees continue to increase—often by 100% to 200% or more. Why are doctors consistently excluded from such considerations?
Most government employees enjoy pensions, allowances, and numerous service benefits. Why are similar benefits not extended to doctors? Are doctors any less competent? Are they any less valuable? Doctors are among the most educated and hardworking professionals in the country. They are the cream of the nation, yet they are often treated as though their sacrifices and contributions hold little value.
The challenges extend far beyond salary. Doctors face increasing workplace insecurity, violence, harassment, and administrative interference. It is unacceptable that highly trained medical professionals are routinely subjected to disrespect and undue pressure from officers who have little understanding of healthcare delivery. Why should a doctor, after years of rigorous education and training, be answerable to administrative officials who neither share the same responsibilities nor bear the consequences of clinical decisions?
Despite inadequate salaries and limited service benefits, doctors continue to bear a substantial tax burden. Meanwhile, burnout, depression, and even su***de rates among healthcare professionals are rising. Yet few are asking why. Every year, doctors are assaulted, threatened, harassed, and even lose their lives while serving the public. Still, meaningful measures to ensure their safety and security remain absent.
Before dismissing doctors' demands, compare the value of salaries at the time of the last major increase with the current exchange rate, inflation levels, and cost of living. The purchasing power of doctors has eroded dramatically, while their workload and responsibilities have only increased.
This is not merely a demand for a pay raise. It is a demand for dignity, fairness, security, and recognition.

*موضوع:* پارٹ 1 سرٹیفکیٹ اور دیگر انتظامی مسائل

*1. پس منظر:*
ہماری ہاؤس جاب 1 اگست 2025 کو شروع ہوئی۔ تکنیکی طور پر ہمارا بیچ 7 جولائی 2026 کے پارٹ 1 امتحان کے لیے اہل نہیں تھا۔ ہم نے سر ارشد فرزوق صاحب سے ملاقات کر کے پارٹ 1 کا مسئلہ اٹھایا۔ انہوں نے یقین دلایا کہ وہ معاملہ میڈم پرنسپل کے ساتھ اٹھائیں گے۔

*2. انتظامیہ کی یقین دہانی:*
ان 9 مہینوں میں ہماری کئی بار میٹنگز ہوئیں۔ میڈم پرنسپل نے ہمیں یقین دلایا کہ اس نقصان کا ازالہ کیا جائے گا۔
ایم ایس صاحب، یونٹ انچارج، پرنسپل اور وائس پرنسپل سب اس بات کے گواہ ہیں۔
ہم نے کبھی کسی پر زور، دباؤ یا دھمکی استعمال نہیں کی کہ ہمیں سرٹیفکیٹ دیا جائے۔ یہ انتظامیہ کی اپنی رضامندی تھی کہ وہ اپنے طلباء کو سہولت دے رہی ہے۔

*3. صورتحال کی تبدیلی:*
25 اپریل 2026 تک سب کچھ معمول کے مطابق تھا۔ ہم نے کلاس سے تصدیق کی تو 92 میں سے 72 ہاؤس آفیسرز نے پارٹ 1 دینے کی رضامندی ظاہر کی۔
ہم نے سرٹیفکیٹ کے لیے لسٹ تیار کی اور 10 افراد کی ایک کمیٹی بنائی۔ اس کمیٹی میں نہ YDA کا کوئی ممبر تھا، نہ IDF کا، بلکہ نمائندگی پوری کلاس سے تھی۔

*4. حالیہ پیشرفت:*
میڈم نے ہاؤس جاب کمیٹی کا اجلاس بلایا۔ اس اجلاس میں میڈیسن کے HOD نے سرٹیفکیٹ جاری کرنے سے انکار کر دیا اور سنگین نتائج کی دھمکی دی۔
ایم ایس صاحب نے ہمیں یقین دلایا کہ وہ میڈیسن HOD کو سمجھائیں گے۔
ہم نے ان اور میڈم کی ہدایت پر HOD سے ملاقات کا فیصلہ کیا۔

میڈیسن وارڈ میں ہمارے ساتھ جو رویہ اپنایا گیا، اس کے لیے ہمارے پاس کوئی الفاظ نہیں۔ وہ ملاقات محض چند لمحوں کی تھی۔ اور اس میں سر نے ہمیں واڑد سے جانے کا کہا جو ہم نے سر آنکھوں پر قبول کیا
اب اس ملاقات کو لیکر ایک کمیٹی بنا دی گئی ہیں کہ قاضی منیب نے medicine HOD کے ساتھ بدتمیزی اور بدسلوکی کی ہے حالانکہ اس بات کی گواہی وہاں پر موجود سب لوگ دینگے کہ اصل کہانی کیا ہے
وہاں ہمیں اندازہ ہوا کہ سرٹیفکیٹ پر اب یونٹ انچارج کی جگہ HOD کے دستخط درکار ہیں، اور HOD دستخط نہیں کر رہے۔
اس لیے ہم نے سرٹیفکیٹ کا مطالبہ واپس لے لیا اور تمام متعلقہ فریقین کو آگاہ کر دیا کہ ہم جولائی کا امتحان نہیں دے رہے۔
ہم پوچھنا چاہتے ہے کہ اگر کمیٹی بنانی ہے تو ایک پر کیوں ، یہ کوئی تنظیمی مسئلہ نہیں تھا اور نہ ایک فرد کا مسئلہ تھا۔
یہ پوری کلاس عموماً اور 72 colleagues کا خصو صا اکھٹا مسئلہ تھا۔ اب جو ہمارے کلاس فیلو ڈاکٹر قاضی منیب کے خلاف جو پروپیگنڈہ کیا جارہا ہے یہ بلکل زیادتی ہے ۔ یہ محض اپنے انا اور ذاتیات کی وجہ سے ہمارے کلاس فیلو کو بدنام کیا جارہا ہے۔
انکوائری کمیٹی کے سامنے پیش ہونے کی بات آئی تو صرف قاضی منیب نہیں بلکہ یہ 72 لوگ سب پیش ہونگے۔اگر ہم قصور وار ہوئے تو پھر پوری کلاس معافی مانگنے جائینگے..

*5. کلرک نصیر کا معاملہ:*
اسی دوران طلباء کے دیگر مسائل بھی چل رہے تھے، جن میں سے ایک مسئلہ کلرک نصیر کا ہے۔
الزام ہے کہ وہ طلباء کے ساتھ بدسلوکی کرتے ہیں، سستی اور نااہلی کی وجہ سے ہاؤس آفیسرز کی ڈگریز التوا کا شکار ہیں، ٹرانسکرپٹ جاری نہیں کر رہے اور غیر ضروری تاخیر کر رہے ہیں۔
طلباء نے ان کے خلاف آواز اٹھائی ہے۔

ہم واضح کرنا چاہتے ہیں کہ ہاؤس آفیسرز کے اس مسئلہ کا کلارک نصیر سے کوئی لینا دینا نہیں
طلباء کا مطالبہ ہے کہ ان کا تبادلہ یہاں سے کیا جائے۔ بحیثیت KIMS کے سابق طلباء، ہم اپنے موجودہ طلباء کے ہر جائز مطالبے کی حمایت کرتے ہیں۔
ایچ او ڈی میڈیسن کلارک نصیر کے معاملے کو ہاؤس آفیسرز سے نہ جوڑے..

Furthermore, Articles 19 and 25 provide protection for freedom of expression and equality of citizens, supporting the lawful and peaceful organization of students for welfare, representation, and advocacy of their legitimate rights.
