A day well spent at Rizq Regenerative Farm with as part of the Rizq Winter Internship 🌱

This visit was more than a field trip, it was an immersive introduction to what regenerative farming truly means: restoring soil health, supporting biodiversity, and building food systems that sustain both people and the planet.

While Rizq is widely known for saving surplus food, its mission goes far beyond that. Rizq works to address food insecurity at its roots, and the farm is a key part of that vision. Through hands-on learning and interactive activities, we explored how everyday decisions across the food system can either contribute to waste or create long-term impact.

With initiatives ranging from food rescue and community fridges to sustainable agriculture and youth engagement, Rizq continues to show that meaningful change requires action on multiple fronts. Experiences like these are essential in helping young people understand their role in shaping a more responsible and resilient food system.
