Herstellar in partnership with DIY SPACE is working on a joint project ”STEAM education in schools”. We started our journey together last year with a promising collaboration to spread the word ”women in tech”, and YES it's happening.
We started our first maker lab project in collaboration with Ala-ud-Din Academy ✨
A huge shout out to all participating young girls, teachers, partners, and our enthusiastic team for making this project possible.

Lights on Paper!
Day 2: To learn programming and micro-controller is not rocket science if you’re passionate about learning it. The response we had was amazing. These young girls learned programming for the first time and how to integrate programming with hardware.
They learned:
Arduino IDE - Basic structure of coding, format and syntax rules
Arduino UNO and phenomenal application out of it
How to burn code into Arduino after compilations
Difference between Digital and Analog World by practicing it with Real-life applications.
They motivated us to go to the next level to practice more challenges.

Lights on Paper
Day 1: Paper circuits is very easy for beginners to learn about the basics of circuit designing with fun. These young girls learned:
- What is a circuit
- How they can relate it with their Science course and it’s curriculum
- How to design a circuit
- What are the types of circuit
- What is a touch sensor using paper circuits and touch sensor using finger
We had so much fun during this workshop.
