"مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ سَعَةٌ، وَلَمْ يُضَحِّ، فَلَا يَقْرَبَنَّ مُصَلَّانَا"
ترجمہ: حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "جس شخص میں (قربانی کرنے کی) وسعت ہو اور وہ قربانی نہ کرے، تو وہ ہماری عید گاہ کے قریب ہرگز نہ آئے۔"

حضرت زید بن ارقم رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! یہ قربانیاں کیا ہیں؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "یہ تمہارے باپ ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی سنت ہے۔" انہوں نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اس میں ہمارے لیے کیا ثواب ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: "ہر بال کے بدلے ایک نیکی ہے۔" (سنن ابن ماجہ: 3127 / بعض نسخوں میں 3117)
