IMPORTANCE OF DIPLOMACY OVER MILITARY ESCALATION

Govt. Graduate College Civil Lines Multan organized a function on the “Importance of Diplomacy over Military Escalation" on Friday 15th May, 2026 at 10:00 AM. The event started with the recitation of a surah from the Holy Quran by Prof. Muhammad Zia.
After this, the first speaker Prof. Dr. Abdul Moeed Kamran delivered an informative speech on the role of Pakistan's successful diplomacy in US-Israel-Iran war in maintaining international peace. He explained that wars bring destruction, economic loss, and human suffering while diplomacy promotes understanding, cooperation, and mutual respect among nations. He also emphasized the importance of dialogue and patience in resolving the conflict.
The second speaker, Mr. Behzad Saljuk, highlighted the need of peaceful negotiations in the modern world and underscored the diplomatic efforts of Pakistan. He stated that military escalation increases hatred and instability, whereas diplomatic efforts build strong relations and ensure long-term peace and development.
In the end, Prof. Dr. Masroor Sibtain, Principal Govt. Graduate College Civil Lines Multan delivered the concluding speech and appreciated the valuable ideas shared by the speakers. He also discussed the ongoing conflict in a broader perspective.

Finally, Prof. Hafiz Abdul Razaq made a prayer along with all the participants to Allah for peace and prosperity of the world and the progress of the Muslim ummah and Pakistan. The function concluded in a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere.

A seminar, showcasing the documentaries on Chief Minister' Population Management and Family Planning, was held today in the Smart Room of Govt. Graduate College Civil Lines Multan. A large number of participants attended it. Mr. Muneeb Bahar, Deputy Director Population Welfare Department gave a presentation on the subject. Principal Dr. Masroor Sibtain also sensitized the audience about the possible repercussions of misdirected population bulge and the way forward.
