The English Literary and Linguistic Club (ELLC) successfully held its Oath-Taking Ceremony, where the newly elected cabinet officially took oath under the supervision of the official Faculty In-charge ELLC, Mr. Arif Khan, and formally began their journey of leadership.
During the event, certificates were awarded to the outgoing cabinet and members in recognition of their dedication and contributions to the club. As a token of appreciation, the newly elected cabinet also presented shields to the former cabinet members, thanking them for their valuable services and commitment to ELLC.
Congratulations to the new cabinet, and sincere thanks to the outgoing team for their efforts and achievements.

The English Literary and Linguistic Club (ELLC), Department of English, University of Peshawar, successfully hosted a session on “CSS & PMS: Pathways to Civil Services in Pakistan.”
We were privileged to have Mr. Anis Ur Rehman — Additional Deputy Commissioner & PMS Officer — with us, who shared his personal journey, experiences, and valuable advice for students interested in pursuing careers in the civil services.
The session provided the students with opportunity to learn about the realities of CSS and PMS preparation, the challenges along the way, and the importance of dedication and consistency.

The English Literary & Linguistic Club (ELLC), Department of English & Applied Linguistics, University of Peshawar, is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with "Combine Foundation", a non-profit organization dedicated to educational advancement and future-ready skill development.
Through this collaboration, both organizations aim to create meaningful opportunities for students in the fields of modern and emerging technologies, including Python, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Web Development, Shopify, WordPress, and other in-demand digital skills.
This MoU focuses on:
• Merit-based access to free or discounted courses for selected students
• Skill development and technical empowerment
• Awareness and outreach of modern learning opportunities
• Joint initiatives to enhance professional growth among students
The agreement will remain valid for three (03) months, with the possibility of extension upon mutual consent. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to bridging the gap between literature, linguistics, and technology-driven education.

The English Literary and Linguistics Club (ELLC) conducted a session on the life and struggle of Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan, a remarkable figure known for his philosophy of non-violence and unwavering commitment to social reform. The session was moderated by Shayan Rizwan.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our respected speaker, Dr. Sher Zaman Seemab, for delivering such an engaging and enlightening talk. He enlightened students with a deeper understanding of Bacha Khan’s enduring legacy, his resilience, and his role in shaping history.

The Linguistic Board of the English Literary & Linguistic Club (ELLC) successfully conducted an interesting session on Pashto Dialects today, led by Sajid and Zarshad. The session explored the diversity of Pashto, its major dialects, and their cultural significance.
Students from different regions participated by sharing their own dialects, making the session more interactive and engaging.

The English Literary and Linguistic Club (ELLC), in collaboration with Peshawar Circle, successfully conducted a Book Circle today in the Department of English and Applied Linguistics.
The session revolved around “Gold and Guns on the Pathan Frontier” by Abdul Qaiyum.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Mr. Ali Imran Bangash for his insightful talk, which added depth and perspective to the discussion, and to Hamza Bin Anees for skillfully moderating the session and keeping the conversation both focused and interactive. We also thank our esteemed guest Dr. Qibla Ayaz for sharing his thoughts on the historical figures and events of Pashtoons, and everyone who participated in the session and made their valuable contributions to it.
