The Department of Languages and Functional Courses organized an informative seminar in collaboration with Perfect Life Solutions Consultancy, Islamabad, on *International Education Opportunities and Career Pathways Abroad.* The session was conducted by Ms. Sabahat Naseem, Director of Perfect Life Solutions Consultancy, who discussed higher education opportunities in countries including the UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, and Turkey. She guided students about university admissions, scholarships, visa procedures, and international career prospects. Drawing from her academic and professional experience, she encouraged students to explore global educational opportunities and make informed career choices. The seminar provided valuable insights and practical guidance for students interested in studying abroad.
The Head of Department extended heartfelt thanks to the resource person for delivering such an informative and inspiring session on foreign scholarships. He appreciated the valuable guidance shared with the students.

The Department of Languages and Functional Courses organized an orientation session for Summer Short Courses 2026 at NUML Rawalpindi Campus. The session was conducted by Ms. Nida Batool, Coordinator of the department, who highlighted the importance of language learning in personal, academic, and professional development. She introduced various language programs offered by the department, including English, German, Chinese, Arabic, French, Korean, and Japanese, while explaining their scope and career opportunities. The session also provided information regarding course eligibility, class schedules, fee structure, and certification requirements. Students were encouraged to explore multilingual learning as a means of enhancing cultural understanding, communication skills, and global career prospects.
The Head of Department warmly welcomed the BS students and encouraged them to focus on improving their language skills alongside their academic studies. He highlighted the importance of short courses in enhancing professional abilities and preparing students to excel in both personal and professional life. He also motivated the students to make full use of the opportunities provided by the department during summer vacations for their growth and success.
Overall, the orientation session proved informative and motivating for students interested in language learning and personal growth.

The Department of Languages and Functional Courses organized a Certificate Distribution Ceremony to recognize students who successfully completed English Speaking Proficiency, IELTS, German Level A1, A2 and B1 and Chinese Language Courses. The event highlighted their achievements and skill development throughout the session. Some students also shared their feedback, reflecting on their learning experiences. Certificates were distributed by Dr Ejaz Mirza , Head of Department Languages and Functional Courses to appreciate their hard work.

The Department of Languages & Functional Courses represented NUML during an Educational Expo held at Fazia Intermediate College, NUR Khan Air Base Rawalpindi today. The Expo aimed at promoting academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and language learning opportunities.
It brought together institutions, educators, and organizations from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Ms. Hamim Mudassar (Lecturer in English) and Ms. Nadia Hussain (Senior Instructor in German) discusses opportunities for students in the field of foreign languages.
