How We Make Our Toys ⚙️🦾

Six months ago we were looking for a partner to produce our prototypes, to support our distributed production system, and mostly to challenge the traditional production chain and logistics to build a new one.

We were lucky to have met Colorni Co-founder & Project Design Director, and De Martini Head of Research of in Milan.

TheFablab is a shared digital fabrication laboratory, based on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Fab Lab model. Their working method is “Innovation by doing” and they do it great.🔥

Friday was our very first time in their laboratory in Milan. It’s full of creativity, freshness, and nice high skilled professionals.

Partnering with people can be challenging and we’re very pleased to have undertaken the right path with team 🤙

We are very glad to have met Gianfranco De Simone FA, Chief Research Officer at the Fondazione Agnelli that is a non-profit, independent social sciences research institute mostly active in Italy but with an eye to the European and global context.

We share the same vision on education and agree on that research is fundamental to design the future helping next generations to face the complex and uncertain world.

We love what we do and we want to make sure our customers know it too. That’s why we chose her. We met Francesca Ciano Tinte Pastello at the beginning of our journey, a few years ago. We’ve been working together many times and always something special happens.

Our requests are not so easy but we also truly believe that passion can nurture creativity and open us to new opportunities.

That’s why every time she comes up with creative suggestions that match perfectly with our ideas. Like taking paint from the wall to use it as the plan to take photos.

Sharing and caring weaknesses. 📣

It’s one of the key points of our first day of the Impact Programme with . As entrepreneurs, we really need to know our strengths but even more our weaknesses.

We can’t be good at everything, but you know, at the beginning of any entrepreneurial path (like ours) the sources are few and time runs out. We don’t have much choice. The sooner we discover our weaknesses, the better it will be to work on them.

All of us have weaknesses. The entrepreneurial journey is more than business, it requires much more personal skills than we think.

Dealing with our endless to-do list🤯

We've come back with so many new ideas that revolutionized our to-do list. In a few days, we've updated our 7th investor deck -pretty sure that we'll change it again, no doubt!

"Travel exposes the brain to different sights and sounds, creating new synapses that can revitalize creativity"- That's what happened to us! Once back, we reconsidered things that we had put aside for a while.

We set again our plan with new features and a few changes updating our beloved to-do list.

We're trying to keep it all together without getting too stressed out, at least we try.

DAY 20 ✅ Mission accomplished

We planned the last-minute business trip to London
being aware that it’s the third startup ecosystem in the
world.

So we expected to find great connections, even during
August.

After 3 amazing weeks, we have to tell that what
happened overcame so long what we had in mind:
- accepted by 3 startups incubators
- 2 unbelievable networking events
- 1 conference on toys topic
- 30 new worthy connections
- 3 targeted investors e 1 investment broker met up
- 2 fantastic mentors
- 3 possible great business partners
- over 250km by walk and by bike
- 10 marvelous exhibitions
- 2 nights at the theatre for musicals
- over 6 gallons of beer on the belly
- tons of hamburgers and pies
- 3 Friends’ seasons
- 3 nights at Ku Bar
- 6 nights at The Yard bar
and lots more
