PSLE -Prep Maths Timed Exam on-going

Coming straight off the 3 days of Intense PSLE Maths Workshop, the students launched into the Timed Exam. Thorough reviews will be at 10am tmrw after we thoroughly assess & grade them. 🫡Major respect for these hard-working, highly motivated P6ers.

The 2022 Covid Batch - P6 then, S4 this year.
Most of the students (90%) still with us. Doing well? ~ you bet 💕 So exciting working systematically towards their 🅾️s & 🅰️s 📝📈

Stating the obvious:

🌷 Our students came mainly from the neighbourhood community of the West. Most of those in the JCs & top sec schools were from our Primary School cohorts ~ homegrown woohoo 💕

🌷 And there’s no segregate between anyone. All welcome & all precious to us.

🌷 Many of our students didn’t start well & dainty in their studies. Indeed many were on the verged of giving up on their studies & some already given up.

🌷 And they found their way here but boy did they put in good disciplined efforts over time. Some abit longer to find their footing.

🌷Yet they put in consistency of efforts that would put a sportsperson to shame. I know that pre-Covid & post-Covid kids are different. So are many parents from the grandparents & a generation ago.

🌷What it matter is whether the Truth gets to them ~. Each & every one of the students are beautiful & we believe in the beauty of their dreams. 💟

Why do The Initiative Learning Hub sticks to Onsite lessons?

Sure, we had numerous appeals to take our lessons online. It’s a question that we took seriously to mull over in-depth.

Yet after months of studies & discussions we still decide (for now) to stay Onsite.

Onsite lessons create a level of focus that online learning rarely matches because the student becomes a captive audience in the best possible sense.

Once a student is physically present in a dedicated learning environment, distractions are reduced and attention naturally shifts toward the lesson.

There is no easy temptation to check another tab, reply to messages, or quietly disengage behind a screen.

The physical presence of both teacher and student also creates accountability. Eye contact, body language, and immediate interaction make it much harder for a student to mentally “check-out.”

This sustained attention allows concepts to be absorbed more deeply and discussions to become more dynamic and responsive.

An onsite setting also reinforces the idea that learning is an event that deserves time and commitment.

🔆 ALL this Actively inform the Brain that the lesson matters.

What you engage (pay the price for) matters & your brain will remind you on it.
