Things we say casually can stay with teens and tweens for years. The jokes, the comparisons, the
comments about appearance, confidence, emotions, or being “too sensitive.”
Most of the time, they’re not said with bad intentions. Sometimes they’re simply things we grew up
hearing too.
But the way teens and tweens speak to themselves is often shaped by the conversations around them.
