Happy Father’s Day from ChildFirst @ Tampines! What a wonderful day filled with laughter, teamwork, creativity, and precious family moments. The children were delighted to celebrate the special fathers and father figures in their lives through exciting games, meaningful performances and a collaborative canvas cap-painting activity. From balancing balloons to catching beanbags and designing unique caps together, every activity created opportunities for bonding, communication and lots of smiles.

We were especially touched to hear the children proudly share about their dads through their portraits and songs, a heartfelt reminder of the important role fathers play in nurturing, guiding and supporting their little ones every day.

Thank you to all the fathers who took time out of their busy schedules to join us. Your presence made the celebration truly special and created memories that our children will cherish for years to come.

The ChildFirst @ Hillview children and fathers came together for a fun-filled Father’s Day Celebration. Families took part in a series of exciting bonding activities including a shoe-matching challenge where fathers put their observation skills to the test by identifying their child’s shoe. The celebration also featured a lively hula hoop race that brought plenty of energy and smiles, as well as a surprise string-cutting activity that added an element of excitement with special prizes waiting to be discovered.

Adding a heartfelt touch to the celebration, the children proudly presented their fathers with handmade gifts and personalised comic cards featuring themselves and their dads. These thoughtful creations were a wonderful way for the children to express their love and appreciation for the important role their fathers play in their lives.

The day was filled with heartwarming moments, making it a truly memorable Father’s Day celebration for both the children and their dads. Thank you to all fathers for joining us and making the occasion so special!

⚽小球大探索，快乐学成长

本周，ChildFirst@Tampines N1班的幼儿们通过一系列有趣的球类活动展开了探索与学习。
在气球抛击游戏中，孩子们锻炼了身体协调能力和大肌肉动作技能发展；大家通过观察、触摸和自由探索，认识了不同种类的球；利用气球拓印和彩色玻璃球滚动画进行美术创作。
在游戏、探索与艺术体验中，孩子们提升了专注力、创造力及双手协调能力，在快乐中学习，在探索中成长。

⚽Little Balls, Big Discoveries: Learning and Growing Through Play

The ChildFirst @ Tampines N1 children explored and learnt through a variety of fun ball-themed activities. Through balloon tossing games, they developed their hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills while building confidence in movement and play.

The children also explored different types of balls through hands-on discovery, learning about their sizes, textures and how they move. Their creativity came alive through balloon printing and marble rolling art where they experimented with colours, patterns and artistic expression.

Through play, exploration and creative experiences, the children strengthened their coordination, concentration and imagination while learning new concepts. It was wonderful to see their curiosity, enthusiasm and confidence grow as they learnt through play.

他们练习使用勺子吃饭、用杯子喝牛奶、整理自己的睡袋、擦嘴巴、洗手，以及整理收纳自己的物品等。在日常生活中，也慢慢练习独立完成力所能及的事情，建立良好的生活习惯。

在这些点点滴滴的练习与尝试中，小朋友们不断累积生活经验，逐渐培养生活自理能力与责任感，同时也从中体验劳动与成长带来的快乐❤️

The ChildFirst @ Hillview Pre-Nursery children are developing essential daily living skills through everyday experiences. From self-feeding and washing their hands to caring for their personal belongings, these simple routines help nurture independence, confidence and a sense of responsibility.

As the children practise these skills each day, they learn to take greater ownership of their actions and become more self-reliant. Every small achievement is a significant milestone, contributing to their overall growth and development. Through these positive learning experiences, the children gain valuable life skills while discovering the joy and satisfaction of becoming more independent learners.

👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 小小厨师大显身手，健康美味自己做！

本周才儿坊淡滨尼（ChildFirst @ Tampines）大班的小朋友们围绕主题《美味的食物》开启了一场快乐的美食之旅！ 在老师的带领下，小朋友们体验亲手制作健康三明治。孩子们阅读了精彩有趣的绘本，故事点燃了孩子们的兴趣，大家认真聆听、积极分享，课堂里充满了欢笑声。接着，小朋友们一起动手制作可爱的厨师帽，一个个摇身变成了小厨师，开心地展开了美食制作活动。 他们认真地搭配食材、发挥创意，完成属于自己的健康三明治。最后，大家一起品尝亲手制作的美食，脸上都洋溢着满足与喜悦的笑容！

The ChildFirst @ Tampines K2 children embarked on a delightful culinery adventure inspired by this week’s theme, “Delicious Food”.

Through an engaging storybook session, the children explored a variety of foods and shared their thoughts and experiences. To bring the theme to life, they designed and created their very own chef hats, transforming into little chefs for the day.

With enthusiasm and creativity, the children prepared healthy sandwiches by carefully selecting and arranging ingredients. This hands-on activity not only promoted healthy eating habits but also strengthened their fine motor skills, independence, decision-making, and self-confidence.

The highlight of the day was, of course, enjoying their delicious homemade sandwiches together! Seeing their proud smiles and happy faces as they shared their creations made the experience even more meaningful. 🥪✨🍅🥬

The ChildFirst @ Hillview N2 children proudly welcomed their families to “Blooming Through Colours”, a special showcase celebrating their learning journey through Chromatic Arts and Nature.

Over the past few months, the children have explored colours, light, nature, textures, and creative expression through a variety of hands-on experiences, experiments and artistic creations. From colourful mosaics and sun catchers to flower-inspired masterpieces and nature-based artworks, each piece reflected their imagination, curiosity and growth.

Families enjoyed exploring the different showcase zones, admiring the children’s creations, and scanning QR codes to listen to surprise audio recordings of the children sharing their thoughts and reflections about their artworks. Parents and children also came together for a special art activity, creating meaningful memories through collaborative creativity.

A heartfelt thank you to all our families for joining us in celebrating the children’s creativity and confidence. We are incredibly proud of our little artists and the colourful journey they have embarked on together.

The ChildFirst @ Tampines K2 children had an exciting hockey practice session focused on developing essential skills and game awareness. Through a variety of engaging drills and activities, they practised stick control, coordination and goal defence while learning the importance of positioning, quick reactions and maintaining focus during play.

It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, perseverance and teamwork shine throughout the session. As they grew in confidence and strengthened their understanding of the game, they demonstrated great sportsmanship and a willingness to challenge themselves.

The ChildFirst @ Hillview N1 children participated in the June Holiday Programme where they explored the topic of birds and their habitats through an engaging story and picture book. Through discussions, the children learnt about the basic needs of birds, such as food, water, shelter, and safety, as well as the different places birds call home. These conversations helped to deepen their understanding of nature and spark their curiosity about the world around them.

To extend their learning, the children ventured outdoors to collect natural materials such as leaves and small sticks. Using these materials, along with cut strips of paper, they created their own bird nests on paper plates. This hands-on activity allowed the children to apply what they had learnt in a creative way, making connections between classroom learning and real-life examples while developing their observation, fine motor and problem-solving skills.

The ChildFirst @ Tampines N2 children recently wrapped up their Semester 1 iUnique exploration, Chromatics in Nature & Art, with a hands-on and delicious cookery experience — Naturally Coloured Rice Marshmallow Krispies!

Using fruits such as strawberries 🍓 , blueberries 🫐 and oranges 🍊 , the children discovered how colours can be found in nature. Through cutting, mashing, mixing, scooping, and pressing ingredients, they created their very own colourful sweet treats while exploring the wonderful connection between nature, art and food.

Along the way, the children investigated different textures, observed changes in ingredients, and experimented with natural colours. This experience also helped strengthen their fine motor skills, nurture independence, build confidence, and encourage creativity.

What a wonderful way to celebrate a semester filled with curiosity, exploration and discovery!

The ChildFirst @ Hillview N2 and K1 children went on an exciting and memorable learning journey at Qian Hu Fish Farm. Through the unique experience of traditional kampong-style longkang fishing, the children tried their hand at catching fish, developing patience, observation skills and perseverance along the way.

This hands-on learning experience provided valuable opportunities for the children to explore the wonders of aquatic life while working cooperatively with their peers. As they observed and interacted with the fish, they gained a deeper appreciation for nature and learnt about the importance of responsible pet care. The joy, laughter and sense of achievement reflected on their faces made the experience both special and rewarding.

To extend their learning beyond the excursion, each child brought home a fish and a mini fish tank. This allowed them to continue caring for their new aquatic friend, fostering a sense of responsibility while reinforcing the lessons learnt during their visit.
