A Gabrielite will be God-loving, disciplined, gracious, caring and a life-long learner. A project to build a separate primary school was launched.

St Gabriel's Primary is a government-aided Catholic school run by the Brothers of St Gabriel. St Gabriel's School opened its doors on 3 June 1953 to its first intake of 212 pupils who attended classes ranging from Primary One to Standard Two under the supervision of Rev Bro Louis Gonzaga and seven pioneer teachers. The school was then located at the junction of Hillside Drive and Upper Serangoon R

Our Primary 6 students had an exciting and meaningful learning journey to the Zoo as they explored the fascinating adaptations of animals in their habitats! πŸ¦πŸ¦’

Through engaging sharing sessions by the Zookeepers, students gained valuable insights from their real-life experiences caring for the animals. Their learning was further enriched through a technology-enabled Actionbound quiz, where they put their knowledge and observation skills to the test.

Beyond learning, this journey was also a wonderful opportunity for students to bond with their classmates and create lasting memories together β€” a meaningful way to wrap up the first semester of school! 🌿✨

Our P4 Gabrielites were thrilled to attend the Theatre Appreciation programme featuring Journey to the West!

As part of Mother Tongue Fortnight, Gabrielites learnt about the key characters and story elements in class prior to the performance. They then worked collaboratively to create and perform their own puppetry shows, bringing the adventures of Sun Wukong and his companions to life. 🎬🎭

Watching the story unfold on stage was an exciting extension of their classroom learning. Through this immersive experience, Gabrielites deepened their appreciation of the Chinese language, literature and culture while experiencing the magic of live theatre.

🌟 A memorable journey filled with creativity, learning and theatrical wonder!

This morning, Singapore Footballing Son, Fandi Ahmad, graced our end of Semester 1 Prize Giving Ceremony!✨

Through videos, storytelling, and dialogue today, our young Gabrielites got to know who Fandi Ahmad was. They were inspired by his story of grit, determination, and sacrifice in bringing success and national pride on the football field during the golden era of Singapore Football, when we won 3 Malaysia Cup titles with Fandi featuring in all of them.

Fandi gave out prizes to our Koobits Champions, Maths Olympiad Participants, Chingay Participants, S*F Band troupe, Academic Awardees, NSG Achievers from Taekwondo, Floorball, Football, and Athletics. Thank you, Fandi, for your generosity and words of encouragement to all our boys.

The EL Department successfully organised our One Minute of Fame recess activity in the school library last Friday, drawing a strong turnout of students across all three recess sessions in Term 2.

Our confident young speakers shared passionately on a wide range of topics, including the history of Singapore, Spider-Man, book reviews, computer games, and even the idea of having an ice cream stall in the school canteen! The presenters demonstrated great enthusiasm and confidence, while the audience showed encouraging support throughout the sessions.

Registration for the next One Minute of Fame session will be posted on SLS when school reopens on Monday, 29 June, in Term 3. We warmly invite our Primary One students to join us too β€” whether through book sharing, show-and-tell with props or realia, or presentations on topics they are passionate about.

We look forward to seeing even more students participate in Term 3. Enjoy the short video compilation and photographs below!

Our school came alive with excitement during the STEM Fair, where students explored the wonders of Math and Science through interactive booths and hands-on challenges!

From solving Rubik’s Cubes and tackling Sudoku challenges to designing exciting marble runs, students applied concepts such as geometry, whole numbers, fractions, forces, energy and decimals in engaging real-world contexts.

These meaningful activities transformed learning beyond the classroom, allowing students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and develop inventive thinking skills β€” all while having fun with their peers!

The STEM Fair also sparked curiosity and nurtured a love for learning, showing students that Math and Science can be exciting, practical, and part of everyday life.

A big thank you to everyone who contributed to making the fair such an inspiring and enriching experience!
