Tamil New Year Kondattam 2026 at Tampines Central CC was a truly wonderful and successful celebration, proudly hosted by the IAEC team. Filled with vibrant cultural performances, laughter, unity, and festive joy, the event beautifully reflected the rich traditions and joyful spirit of the Tamil community. It was a memorable occasion that brought everyone together in happiness and harmony.

🌾✨ Tampines Pongal Harvest Festival 2026 ✨🌾

Beneath January skies at Tampines Changkat CC 🌤️,
the spirit of Pongal rose like steam
from sweet rice 🍚💛 and laughter 😂.
On 24 January 2026 📅, our community gathered as one 🤝
Tampines Central, Tampines Changkat CC,
Tampines East CC and Tampines Boulevard CO
to celebrate harvest 🌾, heritage 🪔, and heart ❤️.

With our Guests of Honour
Mr Masagos Zulkifli, Desmond Choo 朱倍庆 &
Charlene Chen 陈以君
the festival came alive with home-grown talents 🎤🎶,
bright performances by Temasek JC students 💃🕺,
and the joyous clang of Urimi 🥁 as even our Grassroots Advisers
couldn’t resist striking the hanging clay pot 🏺💥—
our own Indian piñata moment 🎉😄.

A gentle cow and calf 🐄🐮 charmed the crowd in a rare live display,
while many multi-racial guests 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌏 gathered shoulder to shoulder
to savour a joyful banana leaf lunch 🍌🍛🥗
a beautiful taste of unity and tradition shared.

Little hands painted pots full of dreams 🎨👧🧒,
mothers stirred love into healthy Pongal rice 🍚👩‍🍳💚,
and families wandered through traditional game booths 🎯🎲,
weaving memories as golden as the harvest sun 🌞✨.
