Learn Singapore Science and Math with our online classes and Roblox Science and Math games. Ottodot was born out of a love for learning.

We believe that every child has a deep capacity to learn. By making learning fun and creating a vibrant community, we want every child to be curious, creative and confident.

What actually happens in a 75-minute Ottodot class?

It is not just a child joining Roblox and playing.

Roblox comes after teaching and guided practice, so the game reinforces the same Math or Science skill.

Not every child needs the same kind of support at every primary level

• P1-P2: Build confidence through curiosity, vocabulary, observation, and early learning habits
• P3-P4: Strengthen foundations before concepts become more demanding
• P5-P6: Apply skills through word problems, Science explanations, and independent practice

Same method. Different learning stages

Ottodot is not just gaming.

The teacher teaches first.
Your child practises with guidance.
Then Roblox reinforces the same thinking skill.

Finished worksheets do not always mean practice is working.

A better sign is when your child needs fewer hints, starts with more confidence, corrects mistakes sooner, and brings the work back into the next lesson for review.

That is how practice turns into real progress.

One quiet sign practice is working: your child needs fewer hints.

Not because the work is suddenly easy, but because the thinking step is becoming more familiar.

More support: Teacher guides each step.
Less support: Teacher asks one question.
Independent: Child explains the first step.

A right answer is good, but it is not the whole picture.

At Ottodot, teachers check whether a child can explain the step, choose the method, and see if the answer makes sense.

Parents often ask: "How do I know if my child is actually thinking, not just following steps?"

Look for the small behaviours.

Do they pause before choosing an operation?
Do they name what is given?
Do they know what the question is asking for?
Can they explain why the first step makes sense?
Do they check whether the answer fits?

These are not dramatic changes. But they are the thinking habits that make practice more useful.

At Ottodot, The Ottodot Method helps children make that thinking routine visible before they keep practising.

Model answers can help, but memorising them is not the same as understanding.

When your child gets stuck on a problem sum, ask:
What is given?
What is unknown?
What connects them?
What step comes next?

That is how practice becomes thinking, not copying.

Game on, Bukit Batok East! 🎮✨

We had an absolute blast at Day yesterday! 🚀 It was incredible seeing so many kids completely locked in, trading traditional worksheets for epic educational gaming quests. Who says screen time can't mean better grades? 😉📈

A massive highlight of our morning was welcoming our Grassroots Adviser, Mdm Rahayu Mahzam (Minister of State for MDDI), to the Ottodot booth! Thank you, Mdm Rahayu, for dropping by, cheering on the kids, and giving our mission the thumbs up! 👍 Let’s keep making learning an absolute adventure for our students. 🌟

If your child keeps doing worksheets but still freezes when the question changes, the issue may not be effort.

It may be transfer: knowing a method when prompted, but not yet knowing when and why to use it.

Before adding another worksheet, try asking:

1. What is given?
2. What is unknown?
3. What connects them?

That small pause can turn practice into thinking.
