In January, we delved into the fascinating world of Hawaii. The children participated in a variety of activities to learn about the island, including a cookery session (making musubi and tasting coconut), DIY costume creation (flower leis and hula skirts), sing-alongs, a volcano experiment, and sports/games competition. They also learned a few simple Hawaiian words and exchanged greetings with their classmates. To wrap up the entire Hawaii-themed project, the children put on an impressive Hawaii fashion show and a lively Hawaiian dance performance. It was a fantastic effort from all the children, and everyone had a great time!

This week, we had the pleasure of inviting a special friend, Charlene, to share about the joy of Christmas and introduce the children to a delightful holiday recipe—Bread Pudding! During this exciting session, our children learnt,step-by-step, how to create their very own mini bread pudding cups.
Once baked, they had a wonderful time enjoying their sweet treats with their friends!
The K2s went to East Coast Park to do some community work by picking up rubbish on the beach. It was a satisfying experience to be able to do their part to save the earth! Even though it was hard work, they made up for it with their enthusiasm and teamwork! 💪💪 Along the way, they also saw and pointed out different examples of air, water, and land pollution!

The N1s and K1s headed out to Kok Fah Technology Farms to explore how different vegetables are grown locally! They saw each stage of plant growth, from a seed being potted to a seedling, and finally to the edible vegetables that are ready to be harvested. 🥬😍
They had the opportunity to do some hands-on hydroponic transplanting and even potted some microgreens on their own! 🪴
The tour guide also showed the children how to cut and open up the aloe vera plant, and the many ways we can use aloe in our daily lives!

The PGs and N2s went to the gallop stable to explore the place where the horses and ponies live in. The tour guide introduced and showed us all the names of the horses and ponies at the stable. 🐴😍
They got a chance to groom and feed the ponies.🥕 While the N2s were taking turns to ride a pony, the PGs did some window art. It was indeed a very hands on experience for the children and to be so up close with the farm animals!

Last week, our little gems celebrated Children's Day with a Zootopia theme. The children arrived in costumes inspired by Zootopia and animals. They had a blast enjoying water play, participating in games, feasting on a delicious lunch, and receiving gifts from their teachers. It was truly a memorable celebration for the children!
The Ks participated in a music and movement activity where they clapped their hands and tapped pencils in response to specific words or phrases in a song. This activity helped the children practice rhythmic awareness and enhance their coordination skills. Through this fun and engaging experience, the children demonstrated their ability to follow musical cues and synchronize their movements with the beat.
It's a joyous experience seeing our kids engaging and trying their best in the things they do, awesome!!!

Introducing the forces of nature in a fun way!
Our N2s explored the concept of wind through an engaging hands-on activity where they used clean straws to blow a cotton ball, simulating the effect of wind. The objective was to move the cotton ball from the starting point to the finishing line solely by blowing through the straws.
This activity helped the children understand how wind can create movement and direction, while also developing their breath control, coordination, and focus!
