We are honoured to welcome the Minister for Education, Mr Desmond Lee and Dr Hamid Razak, Member of Parliament, for West Coast-Jurong West GRC to Fuhua Primary School for a special visit! 🎉

Mr Lee and Dr Hamid had a firsthand look at what makes our Tuesday mornings so unique — from our Co-Curricular Activities to GEMs time with our form teachers.

Our P3 to P6 Gems started the day with their Co-Curricular Activities, learning and growing beyond the classroom. The Environment Club members harvested sweet potato leaves and other vegetables from our community garden 🌿, while our Design and Innovation students in the Makers Studio used their creative minds to build artifacts💡. Over at the Art Club, our Gems worked on a special mural to mark our 85th anniversary celebrations 🎨 — a meaningful milestone painted with pride!

After CCAs, our Gems continued with GEMs time with their form teachers, where they role-played different scenarios while learning about the importance of being kind to one another.

A big thank you to our wonderful student guides, Parent Support Group volunteers and community partners for making the visit such a warm and memorable one. It truly takes a village, and we are grateful to every one of you! 💛

Day 2 | 4 June 2026 — School Visit & Sustainable Living 🌿

A full and meaningful day for our Gems! The morning brought them to Tungmahamek School for a warm cultural and academic exchange, where they shared ideas, learnt alongside their Thai peers, and forged new friendships across borders. In the afternoon, they visited Patom Organic Village — an eco-conscious community dedicated to sustainable farming and organic living. Our Gems got creative with eco-bag painting and tie-dye workshops, going home with beautiful handmade souvenirs and a much deeper appreciation for the environment and the people who care for it.

Day 1 | 3 June 2026 — Singapore → Bangkok 🇸🇬✈️🇹🇭

We’re off! Our P5 Gems gathered bright and early at Changi Airport before jetting off to Bangkok for an exciting learning adventure. Upon arrival, they were warmly welcomed by their friendly local guide, who gave them a fascinating introduction to Thai history and culture. But the highlight of the day had to be the hands-on cooking class at Silom Thai Cooking School, where our Gems rolled up their sleeves and whipped up authentic Thai dishes from scratch — then sat down together to enjoy a delicious dinner they made themselves. What a wonderful way to kick off the trip!

🦒🐒🐘 Learning Beyond the Classroom at the Zoo! 🌿✨

Our Primary 1 Fuhua Gems had an exciting day at the zoo, observing animals in their habitats and discovering the different sounds, movements and behaviours that make each animal unique. From towering giraffes to playful monkeys, every encounter sparked curiosity and wonder! 👀💚

Back in the classroom, students brought their experiences to life through the book *Walking Through the Jungle*. As part of the STELLAR curriculum, they engaged in class discussions, collaborative activities and individual writing tasks inspired by their zoo adventure ✍️📚.

The learning journey concluded with “Pick and Tell” sessions, where students confidently shared interesting facts about their favourite animals with their classmates 🗣️🌟.

Through this meaningful experience, our young learners developed their observation skills, expanded their vocabulary, and strengthened their writing abilities while discovering the joy of learning through real-world experiences.

🌱 Growing Green Futures with Fuhua GEM+ 💡

Our Primary 4 Gems embarked on Fuhua GEM+, an interdisciplinary programme inspired by the Singapore Green Plan 2030.

Through hands-on activities, students explored important topics such as food security, sustainable living, coding, and digital making. Over the first two weeks of Term 2, they also took part in gardening activities and meaningful learning journeys that deepened their understanding of sustainability.

As part of the programme, our students shared their learning with seniors from Loving Heart Multi-Service Centre, building empathy and strengthening intergenerational bonds 💚

Our Fuhua Gems continue to grow as learners, leaders, and innovators for a more sustainable future!

🌏✨ Earth Day 2026

Our Fuhua Gems explored environmental sustainability through a series of meaningful and interactive activities this Earth Day 🌱.

From the Eco Detective Speed Challenge 🕵️‍♂️ to the Oil Spill Cleanup and Water Wheel experiments 💧⚙️, students learned about environmental issues, pollution prevention and renewable energy in engaging, hands-on ways.

They also created environmental pledge cards ✍️ to encourage green practices at home and in school, reinforcing the importance of making responsible choices in their daily lives.

Through these experiences, our students discovered that even small actions can make a big difference in protecting our planet and building a more sustainable future 🌍💚.
