After the weekly Maths Speed Test paper at KGA, the Senior TWOs posed a pic with their Maths Teachers smiling embracing the moment. This programme will enormously equip them as they prepare for the approaching Maths Contest. These students breathe Mathematics and the well-known intricate subject is becoming the favourite to all under the stewardship of their Mathematics teachers. We shall be recognised locally and nationally sooner.

Introduction to Leadership Studies + Perspectives on Leadership Lesson

Objectives:

Introduction and definition on what leadership is

Identify the importance of studying leadership in a current global context

Understand how everyone can exercise leadership in their own ways

Identify some different beliefs and myths about leadership

Look at the life and leadership style of Jesus and several approaches to leadership

Many people have many different definitions because everyone understands leadership in a slightly unique way, based on their life experiences

Identify the importance of studying leadership in a current global context:

Do you have influence?

Sociologists have said that in today’s world, even the most quiet or introverted person will influence roughly 10,000 people in his or her lifetime

Due to technology & social media (Facebook, Whatsapp, etc.)

Some of your influence will be positive and build up people in a good way; others will send the wrong message, and have a negative impact, especially on youth of today

The main point is to understand is that regardless of who you are - you are having an influence on others around you right now.

Why leadership?

Everything rises and falls on leadership

A fish rots from the head downward

As the leaders go - so goes the nation. The decision of a few leaders can affect the wellbeing of millions or even billions of people, positively or negatively. A society cannot rise above the character of its leaders.

The KGA family concludes its fourth week with the introduction to the LEADERSHIP programme. As the School motto depicts, we're determined to building Leaders who express themselves thoughtfully, leading from behind and treating their subject with decorum. Besides academic as our core activity the school is aiming at building Leaders by instilling leadership into them. As it's said "as the leaders go_so goes the Nation.
