Teach the learners how to deconstruct a question, what examiners look for, and how to formulate the perfect answer. Application is just as important as comprehension.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: SSSA WEEKEND ACADEMIC PROGRAMME

​The South Sudan Science Academy (SSSA) is pleased to announce the official schedule for our intensive weekend teaching program tailored specifically for SSSA Scholars.

​Driven by our commitment to academic excellence in the sciences, our expert facilitators are ready to guide, mentor, and equip students with the core knowledge needed to excel in their academic journeys.

SOUTH SUDAN SCIENCE ACADEMY MADE HISTORY IN KAMPALA.

On 15th May 2026, the South Sudan Science Academy commenced its first ever science seminar aimed at bringing together science candidates pursuing south Syllabus in Kampala. This event attracted over 70 students across Kampala from various schools making it one of the most successful academic events ever held in Uganda among South Sudanese learners.

This wouldn’t have been made possible without the efforts of our examiners who traveled all the way from Juba to share their knowledge and skills with a group of young and enthusiastic science scholars.

We want to thank Ustaz Halpiny (Halpiny Mathiang Majuc—Chairman SSSA), Daniel Kur Ayor, Manyok Matiop Kuoldit, For the great science facilitation offered.

We extend our thanks to one of our executive founders Jose Garang Thuch ( Garang Green Park) for his financial support and strong vision for the future of the academy.

We want to also Thank the students who turned up in huge numbers in pursuit of academic knowledge and excellence.

A social thanks to Excel international school Kampala who generously offered us their space used as our venue and to Studios who covered the event.

We also extend our appreciation to our co-founder and mobilizer Fhök Rüöt Chämpï for his tireless efforts in coordinating our activities.

As Nelson Mandela stated that “Education is the greatest tool you can use to change the world “ the Academy is driven by such a principle that equal educational opportunities and activities are not just a privilege but real fundamental human rights.

The Science Academy looks forward to collaborating with other institutions and organizations for the benefit of every learner.

PROGRESS OF THE SOUTH SUDAN SCIENCE ACADEMY.

Most often in human society, people have passions and one of the my great passions has always been education. Through the rigorous academic training I received in the hands of various Ugandan educators, I had always thought of exporting the same—or slightly different skills and ideas to the South Sudan education sector and this dream is nearer than ever before —part of it already executed(achieved).

After three years of magnificent ground work( behind the scenes) the South Sudan science Academy has now made a tremendous breakthrough by organizing the first of its kind event in Kampala.

This event will bring together hundreds of candidates pursuing South Sudan curriculum in Kampala for a two day event designed to create networking opportunities , exposure to scientific methods and most importantly face to face interaction with science examiners who have for the last few years produced magnificent results. They will travel from Juba to Kampala for this particular event.

Why is this important?.

This is simply because future careers by nature of our education system are determined by final grades in the national exams, this creates a need for such students to first attain such marks in order to proceed and pursue their respective fields.

My motivation comes from the team of amazing and other brilliant scholars who are in different parts of the world pursuing the same goal as I do. They have sacrificed their time and resources to ensure this seminar is a success and if we can make this little contribution for our brothers and sisters then surely big things shall follow.
