Today was an insightful day at FECT - UNTL.

We successfully hosted a seminar on Structural Engineering 🏗️, specifically on "Structural Ductility Analysis of Reinforced Concrete Columns."
Many thanks to our speakers and distinguished alumni of the Department of Civil Engineering, Class of 2021, Mrs. Juliana M. B. da S. Ximenes, L.Eng., and Mrs. Diane F.B. Koser, L.Eng., for their valuable expertise.
It was truly inspiring to see so many students and professionals engaged in discussions about the future of structural safety and innovation.
Thank you to everyone who participated, especially to all the lecturers in the Department of Civil Engineering and other participants who contributed to the seminar.

Os Estudantes da Engenharia Civil, Contingente 2023 realizaram um Estudo de Campo em Laivai sobre Sistemas de Irrigação com "Professor Sérgio Miguel Freitas, A.Ma., A.T. e Professor Alfredo Ferreira,A.Md., A.Ma., S.T., M.Sc. "
Os Estudantes foram calorosamente recebidos pelo Consultor Sr.Yance e seus Engenheiros. Também forneceram explicações técnicas sobre canais de distribuição de água, mecanismos de controle de vazão e o papel da irrigação no apoio à eficiência e sustentabilidade agrícola.

Essa atividade proporcionou aos estudantes conhecimentos práticos, permitindo-lhes conectar a teoria com a realidade.

with the sub-theme: "THE EFFECT OF LIME AND PHOSPHORIC ACID ON THE CBR VALUE OF SOFT SOIL BASED ON CURING TIME"

with the sub-theme: "Reliable flow analysis of the Seical river for year-round paddy field irrigation"

Summary of the Seminar Objective:

This seminar aims to strengthen civil engineering students’ knowledge of innovations in soil improvement and reliable hydrological analysis, showing how new techniques can enhance future infrastructure. It discusses modern methods to increase the strength of soft soil using lime and phosphoric acid, and explains the flow analysis of the Seical River to ensure year-round sustainable irrigation.
