After an amazing 14-day vacation in South Korea, we’re finally back here in the Philippines! 🇰🇷✈️🇵🇭
To everyone who was on the flight from Busan to Manila, how are you all doing? I hope you made it home safely and are doing well.
Day 1 back in the Philippines, and I’m already feeling the big difference in the weather. The sudden change hit me hard—I caught a cough and the flu right away. 🤒
Hopefully, I’ll recover soon so I can get back to my triathlon training and continue preparing for the next challenge. 🏊🚴🏃
Despite getting sick, the memories from South Korea were absolutely worth it. Looking forward to my next adventure and race! 💪🔥

I have been beaten down by adversity and nearly defeated. But wait for my comeback. It will be a powerful reminder that resilience always rises stronger than hardship.

This was one of the toughest Ironman 70.3 races I’ve ever done.
I came into this race feeling prepared for every challenge—but the swim leg completely caught me off guard.
For the first time ever in a race, I encountered jellyfish. Not once, not twice, but four times during the swim. Thankfully, I wasn't stung, but seeing them so close while trying to stay focused and keep moving forward definitely added an unexpected mental challenge.
The biggest battle came when I realized I was running out of time. I was dangerously close to the swim cutoff and had only ONE SECOND left when I crossed the timing checkpoint. One second. Any later, and my race would have been over.
I still can't believe I made it.
A huge thank you to my guardian angel for watching over me and giving me that extra push when I needed it most. Somehow, everything came together at exactly the right moment.
This race tested me physically, mentally, and emotionally more than I expected. It wasn't my fastest race, but it may be one of the most memorable.
Sometimes, the greatest victory isn't setting a personal best—it's simply refusing to give up and making it to the finish line.
Ironman 70.3, you humbled me today. But we got it done. 💪🏊♂️🚴♂️🏃♂️

Four Tiger Jellyfish encounters. One terrified swimmer. One second before cut-off.
IRONMAN 70.3 Goseong tested me in ways I never expected. After seeing Tiger Jellyfish four times during the swim, I completely lost confidence in my freestyle and switched to breaststroke just to stay calm and keep watch.
The swim cut-off was 1:10:00.
My swim time?
1:09:59.
One second. That’s all that separated me from a DNF.
Today, I learned that courage isn’t about not being scared—it’s about moving forward even when you are. 💪🏊♂️🔥
