Today, our Year 3 and Primary learners took a step back in time to experience a day in the life of a Victorian child.
The students fully immersed themselves in history, trading their usual school day for a vibrant, hands-on journey into the past.
Our Victorian Day itinerary included:
👗 Stepping into Character: Showing off some truly spectacular, Victorian inspired costumes.
✍️ The Perfect Right Hand: Practising precise cursive handwriting using strict traditional rules (and only their right hands!).
🍰 In the Kitchen: Baking a delicious, classic Victorian sandwich cake.
👩🏫 The ‘Scary’ Schoolmister: Meeting a very strict pretend Victorian teacher!
While the fierce classroom rules gave everyone a bit of a fright, it ended the day on a wonderful note—leaving the children with a deep appreciation for just how encouraging, warm, and wonderful life is at Braeburn! 🏫❤️

Last week, our campus was filled with warmth as we welcomed parents for our Mother’s Day Assembly. It was a truly moving afternoon, led by our Early Years and Primary learners in honour of the remarkable women in our lives.
Watching our youngest students share their heartfelt messages was a wonderful display of the confidence and empathy we nurture at Braeburn Dar es Salaam. From hand-drawn tributes to charming presentations, the students reminded us all of the power of gratitude.
We also took a moment to celebrate our Stars of the Week; Well done to those shining examples of our school values! 🌟
Thank you to the many parents who joined us; your presence makes these milestones so much more meaningful.
At the heart of our school is a vibrant community, and it was a privilege to celebrate it together.
