The Tanzanian Film Institute Foundation, a non-profit audiovisual training institute based in Dar es Salaam, is set to open its doors in July 2025. This initiative aims to empower Tanzanian youth from disadvantaged backgrounds by providing them with comprehensive training in filmmaking and television production. The institute will equip students with skills in directing, cinematography, editing, sound design, creative storytelling, journalism, and essential life skills through hands-on learning with modern equipment. Each year, TFI foundation will support 16 to 21 talented but underprivileged young individuals, offering them a pathway to education, employment, and financial independence, while also fostering cultural expression and contributing to Tanzania's development.

Having a team with experience in both national and international film and documentary work brings a wealth of valuable skills and perspectives.
