Last week we had the wonderful Mosha with us — originally from Pakistan, now living in Norway. 🌍
She created a space where every child felt safe, heard, and free to make mistakes. And that’s the whole point, isn’t it? Learning doesn’t happen when we’re scared. It happens when someone reminds us that it’s okay not to know yet.
Mosha reminded us that the more languages you speak, the more friends you make, the more places you can go, the more ideas you can understand.
We are deeply grateful and truly impressed. Thank you, Mosha. 💙

Минулого тижня з нами була чудова Моша — родом з Пакистану, зараз живе в Норвегії. 🌍
Вона створила простір, де кожна дитина відчула себе в безпеці, почутою і вільною робити помилки. Адже в цьому весь сенс, правда ж? Навчання не відбувається, коли нам страшно. Воно відбувається, коли хтось нагадує, що не знати — це нормально.
Моша нагадала нам, що чим більше мов ти знаєш, тим більше друзів маєш, більше місць можеш відвідати, більше ідей можеш зрозуміти.

Last week, Paula joined us from Portugal — from the Azores. 🌿

She brought us laughter, curiosity, and a whole new world to discover. Through a beautiful presentation, she shared the islands’ food, traditions, and the Saint Spirit Festival. She told us about dolphins and whales swimming near the coast, about local cheese, and what life actually costs for people living there — while travelers from all over the world come just to see it.

The kids were amazed. Their questions were thoughtful and full of wonder.

At the end, we asked Paula: if the Azores were a color, what would it be?

“Green” she said. “The color of hope.”

This is what Sunday mornings look like at Bridge.Ukraine.Project. 💙

Минулого тижня до нас приєдналась Паула з Португалії — з Азорських островів. 🌿

Вона привезла нам сміх, цікавість і цілий новий світ для відкриття. Через прекрасну презентацію вона розповіла про їжу островів, традиції та фестиваль Saint Spirit. Розповіла про дельфінів і китів біля побережжя, про місцевий сир, і скільки насправді коштує життя для місцевих — поки мандрівники з усього світу приїжджають лише щоб побачити це.

Діти були в захваті. Їхні питання були вдумливими і повними здивування.

Наприкінці ми запитали Паулу: якби Азорські острови були кольором, яким би він був?

«Зелений» — сказала вона. «Колір надії.»

В Україні майже немає місць, де дослідники
могли б формувати наукову спільноту — не просто вчитися, а думати разом, ставити спільні питання і будувати зв'язки, які тривають після школи.

Третя міждисциплінарна літня школа трансформативних досліджень — саме таке місце.

Цього року тема:
КОЛЕКТИВНА ДІЯ: НАМІРИ І УМОВИ

Як колективна дія стає можливою?
Як індивідуальні наміри входять у спільний простір і перетворюються на скоординовану дію?

Школа — для тих, хто діє і хоче розуміти глибше.
Для підприємців, громадських діячів, активних громадян, які шукають діалогу з дослідниками.

In Ukraine, there are almost no spaces where researchers can form a real academic community —
not just study, but think together, ask shared questions, and build connections that last.

The Third Interdisciplinary Summer School of Transformative Research is exactly that kind of space.

For international participants, this is a rare opportunity
to think about transformation not in the abstract — but from within a society that is living it right now. Ukraine is not just a context. It is a laboratory of collective action, resilience, and radical change.

This year's theme:
COLLECTIVE ACTION: INTENTIONS & CONDITIONS

How does collective action become possible? How do individual intentions enter a shared space and become coordinated action?

The school is for people of action who want to collaborate with researchers.
For entrepreneurs, civic leaders, and active citizens who are looking for dialogue with the academic world.
For young researchers who need a community — not just a conference.

At our last meeting we welcomed Paola — originally from Mexico and now living in Portugal 🤍
She brought a little piece of the world into our small library in Odesa.

Paola shared a beautiful presentation about the countries and cultures she has lived in. Kids learned new words in Spanish and Portuguese and other languages — and every new word felt like opening another small door to the world 🌍

She asked every child their name, age, and what they love to do. And then she spoke to each of them personally, by name.
For children growing up during wartime, these moments of attention, warmth, and genuine curiosity mean more than people sometimes realize.

This is what our project is about.
Building bridges. Curiosity. Human connection. Feeling seen and heard 🤍
