Today we recognize Juneteenth, a celebration and commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States. Also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day, Juneteenth marks a day in 1865 when enslaved Texans learned they would be free, two months after the end of the Civil War and two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation.

Today, we celebrate the successful completion of our Global STEM Challenges Program! 🎉

Congratulations to all of our participants for their hard work, creativity, and commitment throughout this journey. Your innovative ideas and collaboration have shown the power of STEM to address real-world challenges.

We also thank the parents, teachers, and mentors for their encouragement, guidance, and support. Your belief in these students has been an essential part of their success.

We are proud of all that has been accomplished and excited to see the impact these young innovators will make in the future.

Congratulations to Nicolleta Pelekasis and Jackson Byrd who received Cappies nominations for Best Vocalist in a Musical in their respective categories on Sunday evening at the Cappies Annual Awards Gala. This event celebrates student critics, performers, and technicians in the DMV area, and we’re so proud of our two nominees!

A night full of fun, laughter, and memories! 🎉 The casino was a big hit at Friday Night’s All-Night Grad Party. Thank you to our volunteers, sponsors, and graduates for making it a fantastic celebration for the Class of 2027. 🎲
