When Bulldogs come together, impact is quick to follow — especially on the green ⛳️ 🏌
The RSM Classic provides Golden Isles Dawgs with a fun avenue to endow scholarships for students. In fact, what started in 2020 with former UGA golfers and PGA pros endowing a scholarship has grown into even more support — now including meal plan scholarships for students.

“Jackson loved UGA so much that he would sign off emails and texts ‘Glory, glory — Jackson’ or ‘Nothin’ finer in the land — Jackson,’”
Though Jackson Dodgen’s time at UGA was cut short, he made a home for himself on campus from the beginning. UGA’s best ambassadors are its students, and Jackson embraced that role wholeheartedly. As a student tour leader, he shared his enthusiasm for UGA with visitors throughout the year.
When Jackson was killed in a 2024 car accident, his parents Jeff (AB ’98) and Laina Dodgen established the Jackson Dodgen Memorial Fund to support student staff members at the UGA Visitors Center — a natural home for honoring his memory.

Harris Patel (BSED '97) is bringing Bulldog spirit to the world stage.⚽️🏟️
As an athletic trainer for the U.S. Men’s National Team, Patel is known as the team’s hype man, the one greeting players off the bus and setting the tone before every training and match.
A Suwanee native, Patel was part of the first athletic training and sports medicine programs at UGA and hasn’t looked back, serving at multiple Olympic Games, World Championships and now his second consecutive World Cup.

Big ideas start here! 🔬🌎
Thanks to support from the UGA Parents Leadership Council, Café CURO is creating space for students to connect, collaborate and explore undergraduate research, no matter their major or experience level. From coffee chats to cross-campus collaboration, students are building community and expanding what research looks like at UGA. Innovation happens when students (and parents) come together.
