Postpartum preeclampsia doesn’t discriminate. It can happen to any woman, even after your baby is born.

Know the signs, trust your body, and never hesitate to seek care. Your health matters just as much postpartum. 💛

It’s World Doula Week, and this feels like a good time to talk about what a doula actually is… and isn’t.

Doulas aren’t medical providers. We’re not delivering babies or making clinical decisions.

What we are doing is supporting you. Physically, emotionally, helping you understand what’s happening, and staying with you through the experience in a way that’s consistent and centered on you.

Something else a lot of people don’t realize—there’s no universal standard for doulas. Training can look really different depending on who you hire.

So it’s worth asking questions, getting to know their approach, and making sure they actually align with what you need.

Because the right support can make a really big difference in how you experience your birth. 💛 "
