Fatherโ€™s Day is a beautiful reminder to slow down and celebrate the dads and father figures who show up every day with love, patience, and steady support ๐Ÿค

To the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures in our Atlanta community, thank you for being the calm in the chaos, the playground partners, the bedtime story readers, and the ones who make everyday moments feel special.

Whether you are spending the day grilling in the backyard, chasing little ones through the park, or just enjoying a quiet moment to yourself, we hope you feel appreciated today and always.

From all of us at Twinkle Toes Atlanta, Happy Fatherโ€™s Day ๐Ÿ’™

You do not have to manage it all alone.

At Twinkle Toes Atlanta, we take childcare vetting seriously so you do not have to. From background checks and reference verification to carefully screening every sitter, we ensure only the most qualified candidates make it through our process.

Today we honor Juneteenth, a day of freedom, reflection, and progress.

At Twinkle Toes Nanny Agency, we recognize the importance of celebrating history while continuing to build a future rooted in inclusion, respect, and opportunity for all families and caregivers we serve.

We are grateful for the diverse community of nannies, parents, and partners who make up our Twinkle Toes family, and we remain committed to fostering care environments where everyone feels valued, supported, and seen.

In observance of Juneteenth, we encourage our community to take time to reflect, learn, and celebrate freedom in all its forms.

Looking for a fun way to combine sensory play, fine motor practice, and a quick cool-down on a hot afternoon? This "Melting Ice Pop" experiment is a massive hit with toddlers. It keeps little hands focused and busy while introducing them to early science concepts!

๐ŸŽจ Materials Needed:
- Ice cube trays (or popsicle molds)
- Water & food coloring
- Toddler-safe items: Large plastic links, chunky toy animals, or large colorful buttons (nothing that poses a choking hazard!)
- Chunky toddler eyedroppers, turkey basters, or small plastic measuring cups
- A large plastic bin or baking sheet (to catch the melting water)
- Warm water in small bowls

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ”ฌ How to Set It Up:
Prep the Pops: Place one chunky, toddler-safe toy into each slot of your ice tray.

Add Color: Mix water with a few drops of food coloring and pour it over the toys. Freeze until solid.

The Rescue Mission: Pop the colorful ice blocks into a large plastic bin. Give your toddler a bowl of warm water with a baster or cup, and show them how to pour the warm water over the ice to "rescue" their toys!

๐Ÿง  Simple Toddler Science
Keep the vocabulary simple and fun while they play:

Hot & Cold: Talk about how the ice feels cold to their fingers, but the water in the bowl feels nice and warm.

Melting: Use the word "melt" as they watch the hard ice turn back into slippery water right before their eyes!

๐Ÿ’ก Safety & Skill Hack: Using a turkey baster or chunky cup is perfect for chubby toddler hands. Squeezing and pouring builds incredible hand strength and coordination. Because toddlers love to put things in their mouths, choosing larger toys and using taste-safe food coloring keeps this activity completely stress-free for parents and nannies!

Nanny Hack Alert โ˜€๏ธ

Skip the bulky ice packs that disappear halfway through summer camp season. One of our favorite simple hacks? Soak a kitchen sponge in water, place it inside a sealable sandwich bag, and freeze it overnight.

It keeps lunches cold for hours, and as it melts, the sponge absorbs the water so lunch boxes stay dry instead of soggy.

Bonus tip: It also doubles as a soft flexible ice pack for little bumps and scrapes after playground adventures or pool days ๐Ÿ‘

Simple, inexpensive, and a total game-changer for busy summer mornings.

Try it out and let us know if your family loves this trick too!
