FAITH THAT ACTS

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” — James 2:17 (KJV)

FAITH in the life of a believer is not merely a mental agreement with God’s Word; it is a living force that produces supernatural action. In addition to spoken words and convictions in the heart, real FAITH expresses itself through obedience and corresponding action. The Bible teaches us clearly that FAITH without works is dead. When a person truly believes God, that belief influences their decisions and actions. FAITH inspires obedience even when the outcome is not fully visible. Abraham demonstrated this kind of FAITH when he obeyed God and left his homeland, trusting that God would lead him to a place of promise. His actions revealed that he truly believed what God had said.

FAITH acts when it trusts the integrity of God’s Word. FAITH does not wait for perfect conditions or complete understanding before responding to God’s instructions. Instead, it moves forward in obedience because it is persuaded that God is faithful to fulfill His promises. This kind of FAITH is not passive; it is active, confident, and responsive to the leading of God. Many believers desire the results that FAITH produces, yet they hesitate when it comes to acting on GOD’s Word. Fear, doubt, and uncertainty often cause people to delay obedience. However, FAITH grows stronger when it is exercised. Each step of obedience strengthens the believer’s confidence in GOD and deepens his relationship with Him.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lord tested my resolve by instructing me to begin searching for a larger apartment—one I could not have imagined at the time. His instruction was simple: begin, and everything else will fall into place as you take the first step. I stepped out in FAITH immediately, and as I continued the search, God brought me to a large place and provided the resources I needed, even while the world’s economy was declining because of the pandemic. In that neighborhood, He taught me important lessons about FAITH that still guide my everyday life. It was also there that He instructed me to begin the first phase of our fellowship, and one of our first sermon releases helped save a man’s life by preventing him from committing su***de.

Beloved, acting in FAITH does not mean acting recklessly or without wisdom. Rather, it means responding to the clear instruction and promises of God with trust and obedience. When you hear God’s Word and choose to act upon it, you create room for God’s power to work in your life. FAITH opens the door, and obedient action allows the promise to unfold.

Make this Confession

My FAITH is alive and active. I believe the Word of GOD, and I respond with obedience. I refuse to allow fear or doubt to hinder my actions. As I act on GOD’s Word, His power is at work in my life, bringing His promises to fulfillment, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

THE BLESSING: Covenant Blessing vs. Struggle Mentality

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” — Deuteronomy 28:2 (KJV)

One of the great revelations of Scripture is the reality of THE BLESSING that God pronounced on His children from creation. In Genesis 1:28, the Bible says, “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” This BLESSING is not merely a pronouncement of material prosperity or temporary success; it is the divine empowerment that enables the believer to live a fruitful, victorious, and purposeful life under the God-factor.

In Deuteronomy 28:2, God established a covenant with His people and promised that obedience to His voice would position them to experience His BLESSING. THE BLESSING, as in singular, produces the fruit of multiple blessings which include provision, protection, fruitfulness, and influence. These blessings were signs of God’s favor resting upon His people during the Old Testament. In CHRIST today, we have been brought into an even greater covenant, one that secures THE BLESSING through FAITH and Grace.

However, many of us struggle to walk in the reality of this BLESSING because we operate with what may be called a "struggle mentality" or a Babylonian attitude. This kind of worldly mindset expects defeat, scarcity, and constant hardship. It assumes that life must always be defined by lack, difficulty, and toil before any reward. It prevents you from seeing as God sees; it makes you a people-pleaser and causes you to depend on others as your ultimate source—just as I did for almost ten years of my life. When this mindset dominates your heart, it becomes difficult to inherit the promises of God (Galatians 4:1-7).

The Bible tells us that the BLESSING OF THE LORD brings wealth—which means divine fulfillment and all-round prosperity—without painful toil for it (Proverbs 10:22, NIV). THE BLESSING is an invitation for you to think differently. It is a call for you to recognize that God is a covenant-keeping God who delights in the welfare of His children. THE BLESSING represents God’s active breath in your life as a believer, guiding, providing, and empowering you to fulfill divine purpose. Since my wife and I made up our minds on September 4, 2021, to live under THE BLESSING and give up on the life of the curse, our path has been peaceful and ever-brightening (Proverbs 4:18). By this devotional, I encourage you to have that conversation with God and make up your mind to depend on His BLESSING.

Now, this does not mean that you will never face challenges. The world is filled with trials, and FAITH is often tested through adversity. But what THE BLESSING does is ensure that those challenges do not leave a stain on you. With internal peace and divine support, you will overcome them and never look like what you went through.

Beloved, God has called you to live under His BLESSING, not under a mindset of defeat. Embrace this BLESSING today.

Confession
I confess that THE BLESSING OF THE LORD is active in my life. I surrender to this BLESSING and refuse to live under the weight of the curse. I walk in divine fulfillment, fruitfulness, and all-round prosperity. Because God's breath is upon me, I will overcome every challenge, and no trial will leave a trace on my life. I am guided, provided for, and empowered to fulfill my divine purpose, in Jesus' name, Amen.

THE FINAL AUTHORITY OF GOD’S WORD

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” — 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (KJV)

The Word of God must be the ultimate authority in the life of the believer. Notice that I stated must because it is not so in the lives of many Christians. Many people allow their lives to be governed by emotions, traditions, or the opinions of others. But the believer who desires to walk in victory and fulfill destiny must learn to submit to the final authority of God’s Word. The Word of God establishes what is right, corrects what is wrong, and guides the believer into a life that reflects God’s righteousness.

Beloved, God’s Word is dependable because it originates from Him. The Word of God carries divine power and remains inseparable from God Himself. In Matthew 24: 35, Jesus Himself affirmed the enduring nature of the Word when He declared that “heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.” This means that every promise, instruction, and principle contained in Scripture remains eternally reliable.

Many years ago, I made a great decision to stake my life and family on the immutability of God’s Word. If the Word of God says it, then we will believe it till the end. When this Word becomes the final authority in your life, it begins to shape your thinking, influence your decisions, and direct your actions. Instead of being swayed by circumstances or popular opinion, you learn to stand firmly on the truth of God’s Word. FAITH grows stronger when we recognize that God’s unfailing Word is the standard by which every situation must be judged.

I have also realized that living under the authority of the Word produces spiritual stability. The believer who consistently studies and meditates on the Word develops a firm foundation that cannot easily be shaken, irrespective of what happens. Challenges may arise, but the Word provides wisdom, clarity, and confidence to navigate every season of life. As you continually align your life with God’s Word, you will discover that it brings light to your path, strength to your spirit, and direction for your purpose.

SAY THIS PRAYER:
Father, from this day, I align my thoughts, decisions, and actions with the truth of Your Word. I surrender my life to be directed, strengthened, and established by Your Word in Jesus’ name. Amen.

KINGDOM RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, AND POWER

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” — Romans 14:17 (KJV)

The Kingdom of God is a present spiritual reality into which every believer has been brought through Christ. This Kingdom is not defined by outward rituals, natural appearances, or material things. It is the realm where God’s rule is established in the heart and life of the believer. According to Romans 14:17, this Kingdom is characterized by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. These are not mere ideas; they are living realities that define the believer’s life under the government of God. Let us take each carefully…

First, the Kingdom of God is righteousness. Through the finished work of Christ, the born-again believer has been made right with God. This righteousness is not earned by human effort or sustained by personal performance; it is a gift received by FAITH (Ephesians 2:8-9). Because of this righteousness, we stand accepted before God, free from condemnation, and empowered to live in fellowship with Him every day of our lives. In this sense, Kingdom righteousness gives us the confidence in approaching God and the boldness to work out His will.

The Kingdom of God is also peace. This peace is more than the mere absence of trouble. Rather, it is the inward rest that flows from being reconciled to God and trusting in His sovereign care. The peace of the Kingdom steadies us in the midst of trials, uncertainties, and pressures. Whilst the world is filled with fear and instability, we can live with calm assurance because the government of God oversees our affairs. It makes me remember a dream my wife had about my positive disposition many years ago. Till this day, that dream continues to serve as a seed towards our God-ordained destination. Kingdom peace guards our heart and mind and keeps us anchored in the promises of God.

The Kingdom is likewise marked by joy and thanksgiving. Joy in the Holy Ghost is not just a happy feeling; it’s the supernatural strength of the Kingdom bubbling up from deep within our soul. This joy is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10). It is a holy defiance that says, “I will be joyful regardless of the situation,” because our heart is anchored in something much bigger than our problems. Ha! I know this feeling… When the Holy Spirit fills you, He gives you the divine ability to keep your joy even when life gets heavy, turning your heart into a wellspring of thanksgiving. This kind of life is the very life of God manifesting in you.

Beloved, the Kingdom of God is in you. Walk in the consciousness of your righteousness in Christ. Let the peace of God rule in your heart. Yield yourself to the power of joy in the Holy Spirit. As you do, the reality of the Kingdom will be seen in your life, and God’s nature will be manifested through you.

SAY THIS PRAYER:
Father, I thank You for giving me Your Kingdom through Jesus Christ. Thank You that I have been made righteous, filled with peace, and empowered with joy in the Holy Ghost. Help me to live daily in the consciousness of these Kingdom realities in Jesus’ name. Amen.

How did GOD design FAITH to operate?

BELIEVING AND SPEAKING IN AGREEMENT WITH GOD

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” — 2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)

FAITH in the life of the believer is expressed through both believing and speaking. I heard from Dr. Nancy Dufresne that one reason Abraham waited twenty-five years to see his promise manifest was that he kept it in his heart but not in his mouth. Even though Abraham believed God, he hadn't yet learned to speak in agreement with Him. To change this, God taught him to call himself 'Abraham'—which means 'Father of many nations.' It was only when he started speaking the promise out loud that he finally saw it come to pass (Genesis 17:5, Genesis 21). FAITH is not only a matter of the heart but also a confession of the mouth. When we truly believe the Word of God, that belief naturally finds expression through spoken agreement with what God has declared.

God has designed FAITH to operate in this way: First, the Word of God enters the heart through hearing and meditation. As the heart becomes convinced of God’s truth, FAITH rises within it. Then, that FAITH is released through words. This is why the Apostle Paul emphasized that those who believe also speak (2 Corinthians 4:13). FAITH is not silent; it boldly declares the truth of God’s Word.

Many Christians unknowingly weaken their FAITH by speaking words that contradict God’s Word. When the mouth continually declares fear, defeat, or impossibility, it becomes difficult for FAITH to grow. But when the believer consistently speaks in agreement with the Word, FAITH is strengthened, and spiritual authority is released.

Speaking in agreement with God also shapes the atmosphere of your life. Words carry influence, and FAITH-filled words align your life with the promises of God. As you continually declare what God has said, your heart becomes more deeply persuaded of His truth, and your expectation of His faithfulness increases. This is what FAITH is about.

From today, let your words reflect your FAITH in God. Fill your heart with the Word and allow your mouth to declare it boldly. When you believe and speak in agreement with God, you position yourself to experience the manifestation of His promises in your life.

MAKE THIS CONFESSION:
Father, I believe Your Word, and I speak in agreement with Your promises. I refuse to speak fear, doubt, or defeat. Instead, I declare what You have said, and Your Word works powerfully in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
