Think about how much energy it takes to stay angry. To rehearse what happened. To keep the wound open just enough to remind yourself why you're justified.
It is exhausting. And it costs us β€” in our marriages, our friendships, our parenting, our sense of peace.

Forgiveness isn't weakness. It is one of the wisest investments you can make in your own wellbeing and in the health of your relationships.

We know retreats can feel intimidating. Showing up somewhere new, not knowing what to expect. We get it. That's exactly why we've designed this day to be gentle, unhurried, and completely pressure free.

You will listen to some readings and reflections. You will have quiet time to journal and think. Group discussion is very limited, and sharing is always, always optional.
You just have to show up. We'll take care of the rest.

Forgiveness and love are not separate things. They are deeply, inseparably connected.

Our ability to love well - our partners, our children, our friends is directly tied to our capacity to forgive. When we carry unresolved hurt into our relationships, it limits us. It makes us guarded, reactive, and emotionally unavailable in ways we often don't even recognize.

Doing the work of forgiveness is one of the most loving things you can do for yourself and for every relationship that matters to you.

We also know that retreats can feel like a big ask. What if I'm not ready? What if it's overwhelming? What if I don't know anyone there? We hear you. That's why this day has been designed with so much care. There are no forced conversations. No sharing circles. No pressure to process out loud. Just thoughtful readings, meaningful poetry, quiet reflection time, and gentle guidance from two seasoned therapists.
All you have to do is show up. πŸ’›

This one lands differently, doesn't it?

Forgiveness is not about letting someone off the hook. It is not about saying what happened was okay. It is about deciding that your peace matters more than your grievance.

And that peace isn't just something you feel on the inside. It changes how you show up in your relationships, how present you are, how open you are, and how much capacity you have to love the people right in front of you.

We know that saying yes to something like this takes courage. It means carving out a day for yourself in the middle of a busy life. It means walking into a room where you don't know everyone. It means being willing to sit with something hard.

But here is the good news: you do not have to share anything personal. You do not have to say a word if you don't want to. This day is structured around quiet reflection, readings, and thoughtful guidance from two licensed therapists who have walked alongside people in this work for years.

You deserve a day of peace. Let May 15 be that day.

That is not a comfortable quote.

But it might be one of the most honest ones.

Forgiveness is not a one-time decision. For most of us, it is something we return to again and again. It is a relational practice as much as a spiritual one. And like any practice, it deepens when we have space and guidance to engage it intentionally.

Forgiveness is not a one-time decision. For most of us it is something we return to again and again. It is a relational practice as much as a spiritual one. And like any practice, it deepens when we have space and guidance to engage it intentionally.

We want to reassure you about something. A lot of people hesitate to come to a retreat because they imagine having to sit in a circle and share their most painful memories with strangers. That is not what this day is.

We will offer readings, poems, and reflections on forgiveness. We will give you quiet time to journal and sit with your own thoughts. Group sharing is minimal, and completely optional. You are safe here.

What you are not safe from is another year of carrying what you've been carrying.
Come. πŸ’›

Bitterness cannot heal bitterness. Resentment left alone does not soften with time... it hardens.

We have all seen what unresolved hurt does to relationships over the years. The distance it creates. The walls it builds. The conversations that never happen because the old wound is still too close to the surface.

Forgiveness is the light that changes that. Not because it erases the past, but because it refuses to let the past have the final word.

If you've been waiting for the right time to do this work, we want to gently say that the right time is rarely handed to us. We have to choose it.

May 15 is your chance to choose it.

And if you're nervous about spending the day with people you don't know, please hear this: there is no sharing circle, no pressure to open up, no expectation that you perform your healing for anyone. Just a quiet, sacred day to do your own work in your own way.

We all know true forgiveness isn't easy.

It isn't. It is some of the hardest work a person can do. And it matters β€” not just for your spiritual life but for your relational life. The research is clear. Unresolved resentment affects our physical health, our mental health, and the quality of every close relationship we have.

Here's what we also know β€” you don't have to do this work alone, and you don't have to do it all in one day. What you can do on May 15 is begin. Or go a little deeper than you've been able to go on your own.

This retreat is a quiet, reflective space. Poems. Readings. Guided thoughts on forgiveness. Personal reflection time. You will not be put on the spot. You will not be asked to share anything you aren't ready to share.

What you will find is a room full of people who understand β€” because they are carrying something too.

We've all heard this. And most of us have nodded along, because somewhere inside we know it's true.

Unresolved bitterness doesn't just affect us spiritually. It shows up in our closest relationships, in the way we communicate, in the walls we build without even realizing it. Forgiveness is not just a spiritual practice; it is one of the most important relational skills we can develop.

We know that taking a step like this takes courage. Spending a day with people you don't know, sitting with something tender and personal that can feel like a lot. But here's what we want you to know: you will not be asked to share your story with the group. There are no forced conversations or uncomfortable circles where everyone takes a turn. This day is yours. We will offer readings, poems, and reflections on forgiveness and give you time and space to sit with what stirs in you privately.

If you want to speak, you can. But you never have to.

What takes more courage than one day in a room with strangers is another year carrying what you've been carrying alone.

Forgiveness is not about forgetting what happened.
It’s about learning how to carry it differently.

That kind of shift doesn’t usually happen in the middle of a busy week or between responsibilities. It takes space, intention, and a willingness to pause.

This retreat is a chance to step away and begin that work in a thoughtful, supported environment.

Join us for a one-day forgiveness retreat:

What if forgiveness wasn't something we did once and checked off the list β€” but something we learned to live from?

That is the kind of deep, lasting work we are exploring together on May 15. Not a quick fix, but a new way of moving through the world.
