Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is often misunderstood, which can lead to stigma and silence around those who are experiencing it.
Survivors of human trafficking may experience PTSD as a result of violence, coercion, and exploitation. These impacts can affect daily life in different ways, and with support and care, healing is possible.
Understanding the facts about PTSD helps us respond with compassion instead of judgment, and creates space for healing and support.

Every survivor’s experience is unique.
By listening without judgment, respecting boundaries, and honoring autonomy, we can help create environments where healing and empowerment are possible.
Let’s ask ourselves: What is one way we can help create a more supportive community for survivors?
