Congratulations to Kamila Moore, Garinger Class of 2021 and recipient of a GEF Wildcat scholarship! Graduating 10th in her GHS class, Kamila was not only committed to achieving academic success but participated in student government and sports all while working to help support her family. Driven by her passion for social justice and racial equity, Kamila is majoring in criminal justice at Hampton University as the first step on her journey to becoming a lawyer. Best of luck Kamila! We are excited to see where life takes you!

Congratulations to Elias Bethea, Garinger Class of 2021 and recipient of one of the GEF/UNCC/Road To Hire scholarship packages! Elias is attending UNC-Charlotte to pursue a career in biology. During high-school, he exemplified the student athelete playing football and wrestling all 4 years and graduating 11th in his class. He also participated in the Road to Hire Program. Through his hard work and commitment in high school, Elias has earned a cost-of-attendance financial package from UNCC that includes a GEF scholarship, a Road to Hire scholarship, UNCC grants and scholarships, and federal and NC grants that will allow him to graduate debt-free. Way to go Elias! Best of Luck!
