No School from April 3rd – April 13th. Enjoy your time off and come back refreshed!

📝 EOG Testing:
Testing in IXL will take place on May 4th & 5th. Make sure to get plenty of rest and be prepared!

𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐦 𝐂. 𝐉. 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐫—a trailblazer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist who became the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞 in the United States. Through hard work, faith, and determination, 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐚 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧, created opportunities, and gave generously to her community.

𝐀 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲-𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐨:
• Built a successful haircare company that employed and empowered thousands of women
• Created economic opportunities for Black women through education and entrepreneurship
• Established the Walker System, promoting hair health, confidence, and self-care
• Became one of America’s first women to self-fund large-scale philanthropy
• Donated generously to schools, churches, and civil rights organizations
• Used her platform to advocate for racial equality and women’s empowerment
• Left a lasting legacy of leadership, generosity, and perseverance
