Coaching Tip

Some things can be left unsaid. Not everything deserves a response. Many couples bicker because both partners want to have the last word. This can be a never ending cycle of chaos in a relationship. Ask yourself, “is it worth my response” the next time you see a conversation spiraling into chaos. No one can reasonably argue alone. 😊 Keep it Positive!

Imbalance occurs when we say “yes” to things we should say “no” to. It throws everything off….sleep, appetite, energy, and sometimes finances. I am taking the remainder of this year to reorganize my schedule, realign my plate of tasks and rededicate myself to the things that serve my purpose and balance. You can do it too if you want because you are the owner of your own happiness, your life deserves balance and you “get” to do what’s best for you. Keep it Positive!

Remember that feeling you had before you were married when you knew you would see your man? Remember how you would spend time making sure you had on the right outfit and that your hair and makeup were on point? Remember how you would laugh and talk for hours yet it only seemed like minutes?
When is the last time you went on a date with your husband? Like…a real date?? Yes, life be lifeing but don’t give up on making date night (or a day date) a priority. Rekindle those feelings. Plan a glamorous date night or be spontaneous! Just do it! Need ideas? Contact me for some free tips to get your date life back on track. Keep it Positive!

August 18th is National Couple’s Day. Here are a few ways to celebrate with your spouse:

Spend quality time together: This could involve a romantic dinner at home or out, a picnic, a date night, or simply cuddling up on the couch to watch a movie.

Express your love and appreciation: Small gestures, like writing a love note, preparing a special meal, or planning a surprise outing, can go a long way in showing your partner how much you care.

Engage in activities you both enjoy: Consider taking a class together, exploring a new place, or revisiting a favorite spot.

Reaffirm your commitment and strengthen your bond: Use the day to communicate openly, reflect on your journey, and discuss your hopes and dreams for the future.

Share your love on social media: Use the hashtag to spread the love and celebrate your relationship.

Effective communication in relationships can mean the difference between escalating conflict and finding resolution.

This visual illustrates the power of de-escalation—how one partner choosing to stay calm, listen, and respond with understanding can shift the dynamic from confrontation to connection. It only takes one person to break the cycle and create space for healing and growth. Keep it Positive!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t like arguing at all. Disagreements in marriage and relationships will occur. What matters is how you handle the disagreement. Communication and understanding are critical. How are you handling disagreements?
