Attention all future Vikings! We are excited to welcome you at our Viking Showcase on April 29th from 5:30-7:30. There will be tours, an activity fair, and an IB family information session (6:00 in the media center). Mark your calendars, we'll see you there!

Did you miss the lottery but still want to join North Meck IB in 2026-27? Have questions about enrollment or registration? CMS School Choice is hosting an event this Thursday at the Spaugh Administrative Building to answer questions and help complete transfer requests. We do still have space in our incoming 9th grade IB class!

Ready to plan for the 2026-27 school year? The CMS reassignment and transfer window is officially OPEN now through Thursday, April 16!

We know the process can sometimes feel overwhelming, so we’re hosting a "One-Stop Shop" to help you get everything sorted in person.

Event Details:

When: Thursday, March 26 | 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Where: Spaugh Administrative Center (1901 Herbert Spaugh Lane, Charlotte)

What can we help with?

Our teams will be on-site to provide hands-on assistance with:
- Submissions: Getting your reassignment or transfer request turned in.
- Enrollment: Help with documentation and required paperwork.
- Updates: Ensuring your home address is current in our system.
- Choice Programs: Our Choice Department will be there to answer questions about magnet and specialty programs!

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools have been ranked as Magnet Schools of Distinction.

Congratulations to Billingsville Cotswold Elementary School, North Mecklenburg High School, Piedmont Middle School, Rea Farms STEAM Academy and South Academy of International Languages.

The schools will be honored at the 2026 Magnet Schools of Distinction Awards ceremony on April 16th and April 17th.

Current and future Vikings, join us next Thursday for our annual Viking Showcase! This is a celebration of all things North Meck. We will have student performances, art exhibitions, a club fair, a new-to-IB family information session, tours, food trucks, and more!

Event schedule:

5:30 - Create with Kindness Student Panel (Auditorium - for current families)
6:00 - IB Orientation Session (Media Center - for future families)
6:30 - Post-secondary Planning with Student Services (Media Center - for current families)
7:00 - Athletics information (Auditorium - for interested athletes, current and future)
5:30-7:30 - Student activity fair and performances (Cafeteria)
5:30-7:30 - Food trucks: MomoAdda, Soul Bistro, Mid-Carolina Concessions (Bus parking lot beside cafeteria)
