Belmont Abbey College is home to MiraVia’s College Residence, where pregnant college students from any college or university across the United States can live and learn with each other. Student moms can stay with us, free of charge, while we provide everything they need, so they can stay in school and care for their child. This gives them the stability they need to further their education while having pregnancy and parenting support. Moms can attend any college or university of their choosing.

Governor Roy Cooper has announced that April 11th-17th will officially serve as Black Maternal Health Week in the state of North Carolina. What an amazing way to help raise awareness, education, protection and resources for black maternal health.

Actress Tatyana Ali (Ashley from “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”) has launched Baby Yams, a series of limited edition, handmade baby quilts designed by her. 100% of the proceeds will go to Black and Indigenous midwives and doulas 🙌🏾
