dcpcyouth The greatest DCPC Youth blog in the universe
Hi everyone,
Don't forget that there's a Youth Council meeting at 4pm in the Congregation House Youth Lounge today! Come talk about summer trip plans, upcoming youth groups, and much, much more!
Peace,
Andrew
Hey DCPC Youth,
This weekend is our amazing, awesome, spectacular "Meals with Jesus" event! Some of you in 9th grade might remember last year when you all tried foods that Jesus would have eaten in his time, and also talked about who is invited to the Lord's Table. Join us this Sunday at the Congregation House at 5pm for a delicious meal and great fellowship!
Peace,
Andrew
Dearest DCPC Youth,
Some of you have shared with me about the tragic events of last weekend; Lenore and I have kept you, especially all Hough students, in our thoughts and prayers. Please know that every person at DCPC is available to talk over the phone, or meet with you, or just listen to what is on your hearts as you grieve the loss of your friend.
John tells us that Jesus once lost a dear friend named Lazarus. And so, Jesus went down to be with friends and family, to weep, and to pray. It is good for us to lean on each other; that's what we do in times of trouble. I wanted to let you know that I'll be in the DCPC Youth Lounge at the Congregation House from 3:30 until 5pm this afternoon for anyone who wants to gather, talk, and pray. No need to let us know you're coming, I'll be there in prayer for you all.
Peace be with you,
Andrew
Don't forget! Youth Council meeting on Sunday after worship at 12:15pm. We'll have lunch and talk about what youth ministry will look like this year!

The Very Right Reverend Andrew Thompson Scales

Hope In Hell On Earth: Micro-Finance In Nicaragua - Forbes This is not a sermon or a sales pitch, but a story about a place as inspiring as it is disturbing, where greed has r***d a people of their material resources and dignity but where brilliantly applied generosity has created hope and enterprise of which Fortune 500 companies would be [...]
