Gaelic & Scots are now OFFICIAL languages of Scotland! 🙌 🏴
A new law came into force today on St Andrew’s Day, officially recognising both languages and boosting funding, schools, research and teaching standards.
Gaelic speakers are rising (130k+), Scots speakers too (2.4m+).
A proper historic moment for Scottish culture. 🏴 💙

On this day in 1542: Mary, Queen of Scots was born in Linlithgow Palace. Perhaps the most famous of all the Scottish monarchs, Mary packed a lot into her short, tragic life. She was married three times and spent over 18 years of her life in custody in England before being executed in 1587 at the age of 44.

Today is Indigenous People’s Day and our team would like to take a moment to honor these communities as today is a very special Indigenous People’s Day! Today is the first time a President of The United States has recognized the holiday and has proclaimed October 11th, 2021 as Indigenous People’s Day!
The holiday is usually celebrated on the second Monday of October and recognizes the Indigenous communities that have lived in the United States for thousands of years.
It is also mentionable that 2021 marked the first National Day For Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th in Canada which the government has created for the suppression and forced assimilation of Indigenous communities as well.
2021 has brought a lot of positive attention to these communities, we hope this will continue and grow as North America reflects back on these amazing communities and showcases their beautiful cultures and pain that they have endured.
