Good Afternoon, York Chester Families:

I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer vacation. This is Mrs. Bradley with important information.

Just as a reminder, Report Cards will not be mailed this year. They are available for pickup Monday-Thursday, 8am-3pm.

Yearbooks are in and can be picked up Monday-Thursday, 8am-3pm. Thank you for your patience as we waited for the company to reprint the books due to a printing error. Also, we are selling soft cover yearbooks for $15.

Summer Workouts for Football and Wrestling have begun!!

Football workouts are available to any rising 7th and 8th graders who will be attending York Chester this coming year. Workouts will be every Tuesday and Thursday 4-6PM until July 29th.

Wrestling workouts are available to all rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who will be attending York Chester this coming year. Workouts will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until July 29th. Monday’s workouts will be held from 3-5PM, Wednesdays will be from 3:30-5:30 PM.

There will be two dead periods during the summer where no workouts for any sport may take place. They will be from June 29th-July 5th and July 20th-July26th.

Additional Info:
All student-athletes who show up to workouts need to have an active sports physical either on file or in-hand their first day at workouts. They should also be dressed appropriately and bring a water bottle.

Cheer Information
Summer Conditioning, 9am-10:30am, Gym
June 8-9, 15-16, 22-23
July 13-14, 20-21

TRYOUTS - July 29, 30, 31, 3-4:30pm
Attire: Athletic wear (No crop tops, jewelry, fingernails past fingertips; bring water)

Must have CURRENT Sports Physical to participate in both conditioning and tryouts.

Finally, to help maintain a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff, next year, our school will be requiring the use of CLEAR BACKPACKS. Clear backpacks provide an additional layer of safety by allowing for quicker visual inspections when necessary, helping to prevent prohibited items from being brought onto campus. This measure is being implemented as part of our ongoing commitment to school safety while minimizing disruptions to the instructional day. We appreciate your support and partnership as we work together to ensure a safe and positive learning environment for everyone.

Good Evening, York Chesters Families:

This is Mrs. Bradley with important information for the last week of school.

We will continue with the end of year assessments on Monday and Tuesday.
Please make sure that students are present and on time for school, have had breakfast, and are prepared to do their best.

The last day of school is Wednesday, May 20th. It is a regular school day.

We will also host the End of the Year Awards at 8:45am for 6th grade, 10:00am for 7th grade and 11:15 for 8th grade. Parents are invited and should have received an invitation if your student is receiving an award. We look forward to celebrating the outstanding achievements of our wonderful students!

Yearbooks will be distributed this week. If you’d still like to purchase a yearbook, we will have soft covered yearbooks for a discounted price of $15. You may pay with cash or check made payable to York Chester Middle School with Yearbook noted on the memo line:
