hland, Lexington, West Columbia, Cayce, Orangeburg County Law Enforcement, SWAT and SLED officers, USCPD, the National Organization for Victim's Assistance (NOVA) and the US Forestry Service. The University of South Carolina along with Columbia College host our courses for graduation credits, the Richland County Sheriff's Department and USCPD facilitate our Compact Course for the public with SASS trained deputies and the YMCA is our second home for training moms, teenagers, sisters and girlfriends to defend themselves with skill and precision. SASS is a compassionate organization that loves women, our community and the common goal we are reaching together. We are committed to the mission of ending violence against women in the world. Current statistics show that 1 in 6 women in America will be sexually assaulted and 1 in 4 will experience violence in a relationship. Globally the statistic climbs to 1 in 3. The SASS Defense system teaches women how to utilize their hands, feet and voice to protect their most valuable asset, their lives.

With defensive maneuvers derived from Krav Maga, Judo and Goju Ryu, women are taught to use their strengths against an attacker's weaknesses to impair him within seconds. The results that follow have been compared to handing a woman a .38 caliber handgun that she has with her ALL THE TIME. SASS Defense trains law enforcement, government offices and officials, the military, students and citizens in a grassroots effort to ensure that everyone has a fighting chance at a life void of fear and full of confidence and joy!
