We are tremendously excited to finally formally welcome our new assistant band director Mrs. Erin Adams! Students have spent this year welcoming her with open arms, expressing that they are grateful for her attentiveness, kind heart, and passion for the band program.
“Mrs. Adams is always there to support us and push us, but she’s also not afraid to give correction or call us out when we truly need and deserve it. She just dove right in in August and she hasn’t stopped since - and we love her for it,” shared leadership student Faith Abee.
“Mrs. Adams’ deep passion for music and working with students shines through in everything that she does. We are very grateful to have someone who cares for these students both on and off the podium, and I look forward to many successful years to come,” shared director Matthew Jarrett.
Mrs. Adams is a proud Bearcat Band alumna and a 2016 graduate of Anson High School. She also holds a bachelor’s degree from UNC Greensboro. Now full time with the band program, she is the band director at Anson Middle School and also serves several of our elementary feeder schools in the district for beginning band.
Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Adams teaches private piano lessons, is active with her church’s youth group, and enjoys spending time with her husband and family.
