Waited too long but due to several issues. I am now retaking this space and will begin to build it as it deserves.
In fact, I am in the process of contracting a dedicated teacher of Spanish as a second language. We are creating a virtual classroom and she will become the teacher.
All you need is determination and the desire to learn. Classes will be virtual, one on one or small groups. Prices will be reasonable and meant to help you, the student.
If you are interested, please drop me a note to and we will start to build a list.
Be well and be blessed.
Back soon!!!
Spanishpronto
We will help you improve your conversational skills in Spanish.
Hi Everyone...
It has been a while since I had the opportunity to put something down on this page. As you may know, most of my efforts are being channeled into our English Now page, as well as my tutoring sessions with ESL students.
BUT!!! This does NOT mean I have forgotten about Spanish Pronto. Not at all.
I am in conversations with a colleague who specializes in Spanish Language teaching. We are in the process of developing a plan in order to unite our efforts and bring to you not only great material through this page, but also a classroom where local students can go to classes.
I will keep you informed as we continue our talks. We are both trying to carve out the needed time space so this can come to fruition.
It may take a little while, but will be well worth it!!
HAPPY WEEKEND!!!

Sometimes what is published here is not necessarily an English or Spanish teaching. This bit comes from my blog, but I publish it here because I think it is generally helpful. Traveling around the world, I came across the Hindu Religion and learned much. I share a little bit of that philosophy;
of course, in both languages …
FOUR BASIC LAWS
THE FIRST LAW SAYS:
"The person who comes into your life is the right person”
No one comes into our life by happenstance; everyone around us, who interacts with us, is there for a reason, to help us learn and advance in each situation.
THE SECOND LAW SAYS:
"What happens, is the only thing that could have happened” Absolutely nothing of what goes on in our lives could have happened in a different manner. Not even the most insignificant detail. There is no… “If I could have done something different… perhaps something else might have happened” Not so. What did happen is the only thing that could have happened at that moment, and it had to be that way so we could learn a lesson and go on. Every situation in our lives is perfect … even though our ego and mind resist this as reality and often may choose not to accept it.
THE THIRD LAW SAYS:
"At any moment that something begins, is just the right moment for it to do so".
Everything begins at the right moment… not before, not later. When we are ready for something new to begin… it will start. And only then.
THE FOURTH LAW SAYS:
"When something ends … it ends”.
Just that. If something or someone has ended its/his/her part in our lives, it is life telling us to evolve; it is better to leave it at that, to accept the experience and to move forward enriched by it.
FINAL NOTES.
I don’t think it is a coincidence you are reading this; if this text is coming to you today, it is because you are ready to understand that no two snowflakes are the same and that none will fall in the wrong place.
Remember that each person has his/her own way of thinking and all are valid. Sometimes we must look a little further than what we are used to, in order to see a different world from which we can learn.
This is also true when learning a new language; open your mind and allow the new to enter it.
Be well...
LEARNING BASICS.
No, this is not a look "down my nose" to your abilities. I will always respect those and any efforts made to learn a new language.
Instead, is a compendium of thoughts gathered over the years of teaching and tutoring ESL; they are as applicable to learning English, as they are to Spanish or any other language.
1- Remember it is a different language. Yes, I know this sounds obvious, but nonetheless, think about what this entails:
- different words and concepts
- different spelling of known sounds
- different syntax
- different pronunciation and tongue-palate-lips coordination
2- remember that in learning a language you need dedicated time and effort, on a regular basis. This is important.
3- remember to leave the "fear of performance" at home. When you are learning a language, mistakes WILL be made and you have to learn to live with this reality. Most people who listen to you will understand and actually encourage you. There will be a few who may "snicker" at your mistake(s) but in dealing with these folk, just smile and keep going.
4- Always keep your goal in sight. Arrange your schedule to include your classes and your homework/practice time. Then, respect this time.
5- Join conversation groups in Spanish (or any other language you are learning), If there are none in your area, there are plenty in the internet.
6- Listen to audio books in Spanish, Even if you do not understand all in the beginning, your ear will begin to accept the sounds and the different emphasis of the words. Little by little you'll understand more.
7- Practice, practice, practice. The more you practice, the more fluent you will be and the easier it will be to pronounce those sound combinations which are more difficult for you.
These are some ideas which I know will be of help. As we go along with the posts, we'll be using more Spanish... sort of "getting our feet a little wet" and going from there.
Remember we are here to help you to get over any difficulty you have in reaching your next level. Our classes and tutoring are done in person, or through Skype.
Good Luck!
¡¡Buena Suerte!!
It has been a while since this initial page was posted. Without any follow ups. Yes, Mea Culpa.
English Now has kept me very busy and for a while, I was not sure that I would have the time to dedicate to another project which, although similar in context, would be totally different in content. With the additional time requirements this would entail.
Yet, over the last 4 weeks I have received several inquiries regarding Spanish tutoring and the result is that, without ignoring my responsibilities to EN, some time will be carved out and dedicated to teaching Spanish.
Actually, much like English Now, the work that will be done through Spanish Pronto will be more of a tutoring service. If you already now enough Spanish to "get by" we will help you bring that knowledge to the next level. So you won't just be "getting by". As with English, we will be able to key into your specific needs, be it social Spanish or work Spanish, or both.
Pronunciation, vocabulary, fluidity, syntax.
Let me know your thoughts via your comments, or via email to
I look forward to your comments and will keep you posted as to availability and plans.
Be well. See you soon!!
This is a page under construction.
If you happen to come to it... Welcome!!
We'll be bringing you ideas to better master your conversational Spanish, as we do with our sister site for Spanish speakers who wish to improve their conversational skills in English.
